he uses a mod that give any building/digging tool infinite range, useful for his buildings
(i believe it's gameiki)

hold a block, keep your mouse still, and use your hook diagonal upwards on a vertical wall repeatly.

Never seen one of your videos before. Excellent video editing, intro, and outro; music too, although I've heard that MacLeod piece a thousand times.

Also, didn't know about building with stairs like that. It makes building a pyramid surprisingly easy, especially if you use actual stairs and not just regular whole blocks.
