Hi @Layn to put an image in your signature, you'll need to upload the image to the internet somewhere, and then put a link to the image in your signature.

You get the direct link to the gif itself.
Then, you use the insert media tool, and input the link into it.

For some reason the gif has a background and is realllly big

No, you just need to get the link to the gif itself. (Right click the gif, copy image address or something like that.)
As for the gif having a background and being big, that's on you since you made it.
