tModLoader How to reduce the spawn rate of Lumoths from Spirit Mod?

I am here farming for the Rune Wizard banner and there are loads of Lumoths and I don't know for sure but I assume they interfere with the hostile mob cap? I'm guessing this because anywhere else I used a Zerg potion it has been madness. Must be 50+ mobs on the screen at the one time. Or even change them to take damage from the Chlorophyte pulse thing which would be good too. No idea how to even go about it so thanks if you can help.
