Single Thread RP Human Extinction: Familiar Planet

"The first machine, the one we killed, 'Slowdraw', it seems they cared very little for it. The two almost had a... relation to each other. They talked with a certain degree of trust."

"They warned us not to mess with them, though they fled like cowards when we attempted to dismantle them."

"I'm unsure if my kind are able to.. possess shared bonds, relative to how an organic might define 'family', but the two seemed to have a bond... reasonably close to that."

"That's all I can think of... I seem to have spaced their names, if they'd even said them. One called their partner "S+3".. so I am lead to believe the other machine shares the same naming scheme. Perhaps above or below, though likely one or the other, given how close they seemed."

He tilts his head, projection lazily tracing over Rail's form.

"That's all I've got to offer."

Rail: “…Uhh… Could you perhaps show a video recording of the conversation? Or does your memory work differently than that…?”

The one we fought was skilled. He knew how to react to almost anything and kept his cards closer to his chest than I expected.

Rail: “…Uhh… Could you perhaps show a video recording of the conversation? Or does your memory work differently than that…?”
"I'm afraid it doesn't work like that for me, haha. Something about 'altered bio-identical structural design', and 'the instability of prolonged memory in a fragile bio-adjacent though processing complex', whatever those mean."

Rail: “…I see. That explains a lot…”
Rail: “We should get going now. Everybody ready?”

Cyvis just nods, twirling his shiv on a claw before holstering it at his side again.

Name: Brendan Texem
Nicknames (Optional): Texan
Gender:
Male
Text Identification:
A64A12
Appearance:
An ordinary terrarian, with brown eyes, a common purple t-shirt, and common dark purple pants, with heavy work boots.
He also wears a wide-brimmed hat with a short top. It is darker purple with a leather strap around it.
For some reason, he seems VERY fond of it...

... However, and all of you except Mosscreep knows what this means, his face looks exactly like The Rope God's, but without the eye glow and the cocky smile.
Which is because this IS Rope, before he ascended into godhood and started causing problems.

Personality:
Somewhat kind, although has a tendency to prioritize himself over others in critical situations.
Has a high sense of self worth, and shows a bit less empathy than others. He'll still go out of his way to help, but not by a lot.
Somewhat violent if he gets mad, but fortunately, he has a small frustration tolerance!
... wait.

Equipment (Optional):
A weak leather whip and Platinum Armor (+3 to defense rolls)
And Hermes Boots, letting him run at 31 MPH

Theme (Optional): n/a
Backstory (Optional):
If you think about it, he IS the backstory.

Abilities:

A somewhat wide variety of usually irrelevant buffs due to his Terrarian Blood.
Which Include:
unaffected by momentum, or sudden acceleration or deceleration. Essentially, slamming him into a wall will never hurt him. (Fall damage is an exception)
He can survive flawlessly in any environment that would not kill him. Being next to lava? the heat of hell? Outer Space? All fine. if there's an actual hazard in the areal, like poison gas, he will be hurt.
He wont suffer negative effects from damage. He functions the same at 1 HP as he would at full HP. If he takes an arrow to the teeth and proceeds to look fine, he's not undamaged, but unaffected in any other way.
He has an inventory, like a pocket liminal space where things he want to carry are.
He can lift, manipulate, and throw an infinite amount of weight as long as the object is no bigger than a person. this is 40% here because of Bow-Eye.
Somewhat more durable than a normal human. not by too much, though.
Aiming for vitals, like his head or his heart, wont do more damage than the rest of his body. On the contrary, his feet will take as much damage as his head, so attacks a human would not be killed by may hurt him a lot more.
Seemingly immune to pain.
I feel like there's more, but it's 2am and ill just add more later if the situation requires it...

Strengths:
Able to thrive in a wide variety of hostile environments, usually emerging as the dominant lifeform after some time.
Weaknesses:
Falling. Oh, and his tendency to get a little too up close and personal, leading him to recklessly charge enemies.

Height (Optional):
6'2
Weight (Optional):
184 pounds
Other Info (Optional):
Has an odd fondness for ropes. I wonder why...

(Nerf the platinum armor. +3 is too strong; he would be at the same power level, in terms of stat bonuses, as an [REDACTED].)

Hey, xue can just spontaneously have +5 to everything.

(I didn’t ask for an argument.)
(I ordered a nerf.)
(To Rope’s Platinum Armor.)
(And if that nerf is not implemented, I will resort to other means of counterbalance.)
(Do you really want flesh knuckles?)

And I didn't ask to get unfairly nerfed.

(Your character is rejected. It should be clear why a +3 defense bonus is overpowered, and why a situational +5 roll bonus is balanced in practice.)

Holy :red:ing bias.
It should be clear how Xue is still stronger than this.

(You use your stat bonuses as much as possible in order to win, no matter the cost.)
(Cream uses her stat bonuses sparingly, and she uses them in order to prevent and avenge tragedy.)
(Both make sense from a determination standpoint, but only one is permissible in a balanced roleplay.)

Anything else is the way of a coward.

... I'll nerf it to +2 since that set gives 20 defense, which is how it worked under Limbo rules.

Do not preach to me about stat bonuses and how we use them when Xue is in this RP. I have seen firsthand how she used them and it's bull:red:. You haven't been forced to bear witness to Deus est Machina on TOP of a +6 to everything because the heroes just haaave to win.

(Limbo rules were designed for overpowered OCs.)
(Do you just haaave to win?)
(If Xueqing’s abilities are used in an imbalanced way, I may nerf them. However, she has given me no reason to nerf them yet.)
(You, on the other hand, are notorious for your characters’ overpowered behavior and stats. I have no reason to trust you yet.)
