Hi everyone, I'm Cthugh, and I want to share with you my suggestion.
Hunting missions!
You know... Like fishing missions, but with danger and style...
This would give a new option in the Arms Dealer menu, after the EoW or the BoC are defeated. a Hunting mission would consist of hunting down a mini-boss enemy or certain cuantity of common mobs. You can only do one per day, but if you don't achieve it during one day, dont worry, they expire after a week (terrarian week).
But you may say: but Cthugh, there isn't enough mini-bosses in the game! And it would be very boring hunt down 100 slimes or so!
Well, you are right, and i wouldn't force you to kill 100 slimes...
So I'm also adding new mini-bosses to my suggestion!
All mini bosses i propose would only appear if the hunting mission is active.
Others like the paladin would appear as objective after the requisites for it to appear are meet.
For example:
A Leopard (jungle exclusive) (pre-Hardmode)(surface and underground jungle)
-Custom ia: it will keep in areas with low light or with dense foliage, waiting to hunt you down, can "walljump" and climb.
-500 health each
-Fast
-Resistant to knockback
-Jumps high
-High damage (50?-60?)
Basically a "kill it or be kill it"-kind of thing.
Comes in packs of five.
White Leopard (jungle exclusive)(Hardmode)(after mechanical bosses are defeated)
-custom ia: similar in appearance and behavior to the Leopard, but with more health and can become stealth in the foliage (it's stealth is like the one of the shroomite armor) if not damaged directly by the player (minions, traps, etc) it will run and take cover (may despawn if not chased)
- 3000 Hp (?)
-fast
-inmune to knockback
-jumps high
- 130 damage (?)
Just one per time.
Salacia (ocean exlusive) (spawns in the bottom of the sea)
-custom ai: in close combat it will try to pierce the player with its trident and shoot bubbles that slow down the player. (refills a bit of the breath meter). In long range combat, it will shoot bubbles of ink that cast darkness (debuff) in the player for 4 seconds, while trying to get closer to the player.
-2000 hp(?)
-slow in land, average in water.
-inmune to knockback
-swims quite well
-50 melee, 20 mid range and 40 long range
Look like a mermaid or triton
Amphitrite (ocean exclusive)(hardmode)
-custom ai: ranged enemy, will launch bombs of ink and sea urchins to the player. If the Player tries to pull her out of water then it will shoot bubbles of floating water where she can swim (can create up to 3 and jump between them) and continue the bombardment.
- 5000 hp (?)
-fast in water, slow in land
-susceptible to knockback
-can jump between bodies of water, if there isn't, she can create floating bubbles of water.
-80 area of effect damage (ink bombs and sea urchins bombs)
Looks like the Salacia but more menacing and darker.
Blood Cardinal (sky island exclusice)
-custom ai: do fast dashes to hit the player
-300 hp
-fast.
-susceptible to knockback
-30 damage each
Come in packs of 7 to 12
More to come.
The king slime and the paladin would do for they respective biomes (surface forest and dungeon)
Need possible drops and hunting reward!
