Other Game Hypertrig - A game by Artyrian

Second off, am I a masochist for wanting the boss to be a little harder...?
Oh this (mini)boss gave me hell during testing - if you don't try and figure out what it does quickly you'll die quick.

Happy to report that the actual world boss will be harder than this though ;}

HYPERTRIG DEV LOG 21
whats 9 plus 10

For quite literally no reason at all (several reasons but lol) my productivity has sped up this past week.

So here's a new dev log!!!1 God help me I haven't slept well at all this week

- All fire-based weapons cause explosions now.
- All weapon types are complete! A few are showcased in the GIFs below:

And of course, there's a full video where that came from:

Alright time to play terraria and other stuff for the rest of the weekend goodbye

I made a lego Hypertrig.

The 8 holes in the side of the gun correspond to the 8 lego technic axles that are inserted into said holes in order to install the cartridges.
Each cartridge has 4 holes in it, allowing 2 to be in the gun at once.

The trigger can move back and forth.

The top of the Hypertrig is held in place by 4 of these red technic pins; two on the front, and two on the back.
The ones on the front are hidden behind the front part of the barrel, which can be taken off.

The lower half of the Hypertrig can have two cartridges put in it,
and the top half of the Hypertrig has a tool in it that makes it easier to remove the pins that hold the cartridges in place.

How the :red: did you get more than 10 red bricks
All my legos are dumped into these 4 bins and it’s impossible to find any of the blocks I’m looking for

Holy crap, that's insanely impressive. That's awesome, sick job :}}}}

It's been a hot minute, hasn't it. :clothierstraightface:

So...I've got some news about this project...if anyone's still interested whatsoever.

If you're interested, check out my itch profile on September 20th. Been waiting to do this one for a while now; part of the reason there's been no more dev logs is because of how much I've been doing since the last one.

See you then. I think. :)

Where are you planning on uploading this? I decided to use Gdevelop instead for my game because I learned that publishing to a monetized platform like steam or the app store with Gamemaker costs 80 dollars (its only a 1 time purchase though)

Itch.io for the moment, I'll share the link later. I own the original perpetual license of GM2 so I can pretty much upload wherever I want

what is GM2? Is it like some legacy deal that you still own that's better than the current thing? I heard you also need a 70$/mo membership to put your games on console

GM2 is just shorthand for GameMaker Studio 2, which was eventually just renamed to GameMaker. They don't sell that version anymore, but back then you had to buy a license to export your games period

so you still own an old version that lets you upload wherever you want, and for the current version I'd need to do a one-time purchase of 80$ to put a game on steam?

unless I get REALLY stuck with Gdevelop and just can't figure out how to make something unique with it (it's almost like scratch, you put together preexisting behaviors and items from a "marketplace" to make small platformers, not really suitable to make a game like a mainline Pokemon game but my game is thankfully simple) I'll stick with it

also are you planning on putting this on steam ever

Yeah. Ironically the $80 purchase now is a MUCH better deal than what I got it at originally; I can only export for PC, that one can export for mobile and HTML too
also are you planning on putting this on steam ever
That's the plan 🫡

Something I find funny is that despite thinking Gdevelop wasn't a good platform to make my game on, the way you make games with events actually makes it the probably BEST possible game I could with gamemaker, with maybe a warioware-style game being second.

Also what if we had a reference to ts in my game (I'm still working on the title screen and making the logo move (in a cool way) so it might be a bit before I work on the real game)
