I am currently trying to play terraria on steam with my friend and it does not let her invite people to the game and it also does not let me join and stays on a loading screen if i attempt to join if it lets me get to the character select to begin with. I think other people in this thread have similar issues to me and have not gotten clear responses. Thank you for your time!
Cant join people anymore since 24.08.2024
Join via Steam does nothing, and then canceling and selecting exit at the main menu freezes the game.

I also am having trouble joining my friends. We all took turns hosting and nothing worked.
We tried:
Checking our firewall
Relaunching the game
Joining via IP
Uninstalling and reinstalling
Using a password
Not using a password
It's been an issue for a few days, I'm hoping it gets fixed soon

Hello @KatarinaZZ, I'm sorry to hear you're having multiplayer issues.

Could I ask you to enable error logging so we hopefully can try and pin down the exact issue?

1. In your Steam Library, right click Terraria and click Properties....
2. In the General tab, add the following to the Launch Options field: -logerrors -logfile.
   
3. Close the window, then launch Terraria as normal. Try and join your friend's world as usual.
4. After your game has frozen, force close it. If it doesn't freeze but you still can't enter the world, simply exit the game.
5. Go to Documents/My Games/Terraria/Logs and upload the latest log to this thread.
