Working as Designed I can not pick up things from the ground and put them in my inventory

I have a problem with picking up any items, this happens with only one character, everything is fine with others. Restarting the game did not help, and yes, my inventory is empty. Who knows what to do to disable this?
 
I’m not sure what it’s called, but you might be holding an item which doesn’t allow you to pick up other items. Remove this from your inventory if it is
 
Do you have the Encumbering stone anywhere in your inventory? That is a new item which prevents you from picking up other items.

If not, are you playing in multiplayer?
