i cannot play terraria

i just bought the game and when i try to play terraria and click the play button, i dont get any respond from steam or the game. it just says "preparing to launch terraria" and nothing is happening. it is turning to play button again by itself. pls help asap i wanna play this soo much, its my childhood's game

i just noticed something; when i verify the terraria's files, everytime it finds one thing which is 640 bytes and it downloads it again.

try deleting it and then reinstalling it if that doesnt work then move the game to your desktop and double click it from their
