I can't start a multiplayer server.

In the past, when I had a bad computer, I could never create a multiplayer server. I would create one, but no one could access it; they got stuck on an infinite "server found" screen. At the time, I didn't think much of it because I believed it was a hardware issue. Recently, I bought a new PC, and after installing Terraria, I created the server, gave ".NET Host" permission through the firewall, and everything started correctly. My friend was even able to join the world. However, later, when I tried to start the server again, that infinite "server found" problem happened. I tried checking if the game ports were correct and ran the EXE as an administrator, but nothing worked. The only thing that works is completely resetting my firewall for some unknown reason, but after a while, the problem comes back.

Hello @VanPluck, I'm sorry to hear you're having multiplayer issues.

Unfortunately I don't believe this issue is directly caused by Terraria, but rather your operating system or perhaps there is an issue with your router.

Are you inviting your friend through Steam, or are they connecting via IP?

I invite my friend through Steam; I’ve never tried to create a server via IP. Speaking of the operating system, in case I forgot to mention, after I restored my computer, I was able to play a game with my friend, but shortly after, the problem occurred again.

Are there any other games you play involving local servers where you do (or do not) have this issue?
