tModLoader I constantly crash. Singleplayer, Multiplayer whatever I play.

Woijtex

Terrarian
I love playing Tmod but it crashes when I start, crashes in game, crashes reloading mods. my most recent crash was just after I join and world of Calamity.
I recently started going to my file location and starting terraria via start-tmodloader. I feel as I crash less starting it like that in administrator. I have a start-tmodloader-familyshare. I figured that's what steam starts up and forces me to crash. I own the game as well as some of the friends I family share with.

Whenever I play with my friend who should have a worse spec computer than myself he never crashes.

here is my client.log, if any smart people could help me. let me know if I need to send anymore logs

most recent different mods multiplayer got a 4gb increase then crashed

I only see errors from CombinationsMod, which is Moomoo's Yoyo revamp. Disable that and try again.

I tried that, my client log is missing the last 3 minutes. Still Crashing. Calamity crashes more than Fargos

Well, no errors in your client log, so no idea what is causing the crash. Just start disabling mods until you have a stable playthrough.

Try updating as many things as possible if that doesn't work, terraria, tmod, the mods, etc.
Even go as far as to update dotnet and similar

this on said it should be shared to ask for help. just gave me a system out of memory error code. Everything should be updated as I recently fully formatted my laptop and re downloaded everything

Disable the mod World Map Housing

I did that but I don't believe its an issue with mods at all. Its Tmod loader its self before this crash I got a ran out of memory crash but this game is 64 bit and I have 32bgs of memory and I'm not using all of it so what's the real problem

why do I have 3 now?

Attachments

The client log shows a resource pack loading error. Might wanna disable those.

Hold Shift when TML is starting and you'll launch without any mods loading. The out of memory error isn't necessarily for RAM but can also apply for VRAM. Either way I'd recommend disabling some content mods.

Even then I should have enough vram. ill check if the game crashes with no mods loaded, because Ill never crash in vanilla

Attempt to Port from "C:/Users/Owner\Documents\My Games\Terraria\tModLoader" to "C:/Users/Owner\Documents\My Games\Terraria\tModLoader-1.4.3" aborted, "2025.4.3.0" is a newer version.
why is it trying to start 1.4.3? maybe that's my problem often times it tells me my mods are out of date and I reload and it doesn't say anything just disables and I'm able to add them again

It's not trying to start 1.4.3, it looks for those older files to see if there is anything to copy over. In your log, it didn't copy anything as your current version is newer.

this just sucks i dont blame tmod now, its gotta be a hardware issue, my web browsers tabs crash constantly and so does discord, ill crash in other games too just not as often
I just changed from 1 32gb stick to 2 16gbs and that didnt fix anything.
