Basically, the way this method works is by using actuators to deactivate blocks so that you can clear spaces, and the Solidifier to go through a chain of steps that eventually allows you to fish for crates. During the challenge, you are unable to break any block (except life crystals, and only then by actuating the block underneath them), whether by pickaxe/axe, explosives, or actuating the block underneath it.
The method is as follows:
Gather basic supplies, mainly rope
Venture into caves to find gold chests
Find a gravitation potion in a chest
Use the gravitation potion to look for floating islands
Find a Starfury in a Sky Chest
Gather at least 10 Gold Coins worth of money
Locate and travel to the dungeon
Summon and kill skeletron
Find the mechanic and buy a wrench, wire, a switch, and a decent amount of actuators
Use the actuators to prepare a farming arena in the corruption
Find a Fiberglass Fishing Pole in an ivy chest in the jungle
Go to the outskirts of the world and wait for a King Slime to spawn
Kill the King Slime and acquire the Solidifier
Farm slimes for gel
Use gel to create Slime Blocks, and use the Slime Blocks to create a Slime Workbench
Use the Slime Workbench to craft Slime Walls
Make a house out of slime materials
Wait for the Merchant to move in
Buy a bug net from the merchant
Farm bait with the bug net
Fish for crates
Use the crates to get useful ores and items
Craft weapons and armor with ores from the crates
Gather life crystals with the actuators & wiring supplies
Farm for the Ancient Shadow Set (or Necro Armor)
Dig a tunnel to the underworld with actuators
Prepare a bridge out of slime blocks
Farm for the doll
Defeat WOF
Farm for Hardmode crates
Gather Hardmode bars and make equipment
Gather souls of night and light
Gather the requisite items to make the Mechanical Worm, Eye, and Skull.
Defeat Bucket of Bolts
Find the Plantera bulb
Prepare an arena around it
Break the bulb with actuators once ready
Kill Plantera
Find the Temple
Kill Golem (sell any Picksaws you might get)
Defeat Martian Madness for the loot
Kill the Lunatic Cultist
Go through the Lunar Events
Kill Moonlord
Feel proud of yourself
You can skip obtaining the Starfury if you want and just try to kill Skeletron with whatever you can find while traveling, but the Starfury just makes the whole process considerably easier.
If you want to make this take even longer, you can ban breaking heart crystals and farm for them via fishing instead (RIP CrabBar)
if you spot a step that requires you to break a block, please let me know in. Also, tell me if you think my method is too Grundy or relies too heavily on luck, also tell me and I might be able to modify it.
