Every world has every biome, except for the opposite evil biome (however in Hardmode you can buy the seeds for the opposite evil biome from the Dryad). Also the surface snow biome is protected from corruption/crimson/hallow, because it's mainly made of snow blocks which cannot be corrupted/crimsoned/hallowed, but the underground snow biome is made of ice blocks which can be corrupted/crimsoned/hallowed.

Normally, worlds have only one type of evil biome (corruption or crimson) - "drunk worlds" are an exception, but if you're a newbie to the game, maybe it's not a bad idea to start with a more standard world, since drunk worlds have all sorts of irregularities, which are fun, but some might be more interesting, if you already know the core things a bit more.

You can artifically create any and all biomes though (although I'm not sure about spider caves, but standard maps always have several of them, so no problem there)
The dryad sells the seeds of the grass of the "opposite evil biome" (the one your world doesn't have), in hardmode, if she's in a graveyard biome. this allows you to create both evils eventually.

Hallow is also not present in standard worlds at the start, but it appears upon entering hardmode, and can be artifically created too, using hallowed seeds or other methods. (in hardmode)

(if you're a newbie, don't get confused by expert mode and hardmode, they're totally different stuff. start a new game with a classic (formerly known as softcore) character (in fact, most of the time, medium and hardcore are just pure suffering so better be avoided. certainly don't go for those if you're a newbie), and a normal mode world - don't try expert or master, until you're a lot more familiar with the game.
"hardmode" is something that happens in all worlds over some progression, so it happens in normal mode worlds too.

some regular hybrid biomes (like corrupted snow) will spawn both types of monsters, I think. deserts have their own variant of almost everything, which will replace each other - but that's only in hardmode, in pre-hardmode, evil biome deserts will spawn regular evil biome mobs most of the time, but antlions spawn sometimes too - and that goes for the underground too, though the underground desert is normally never corrupted at the start of the game, and is immune to evil biome spread, prior to hardmode. (in hardmode though, deserts are particularly vulnerable to the spreading biomes.
if standard "forest" biomes get corrupted/crimsoned/hallowed, they turn into that biome completely. although normal forest criters still spawn in hallow (nearby towns).

Almost all of such cases can be reversed (purified, etc.), with jungle being the only problematic one, which can be destroyed for good by evil biomes. when evil-infected jungle is purified, it turns into forest, not jungle. but the jungle is also only vulnerable to the spread prior to hardmode (in fact, the only way where evil biomes can spread pre-hardmode is via grass)
