NPCs & Enemies I humbly ask for more NPC (Non Participant Characters)

Terrarian
This mayhaps will be asking for some big ask tho will it be of a huge appreciation. I would wish for more NPC and i am talking about Non Participant Characters.
While the existing NPC are cool are they just to useful. I don't need NPC that can attack or Sell things, show up on the map or you even are able to talk to but just People who heard of the new housing opportunity of this new world filling the "Town" to be actual Towns full of life to make long therm Worlds more attractive to build up instead of feeling like you are just making ruins of old and barren.

My idea would be that you can just use the character creater to make something spawn them give them the jabilion extra stuff you have as vanity (basically being moving armor stands) and then just have them live there with perma death to give protecting the village during an invasion a whole new meaning when you need to save the life of, and we all know it will end up being this if you make characters who you never interact with because it sounded funny at the time, Schwanzus Longus and his Wife Inkontinenzia Popo.

While we are at it but this part is the far bigger ask, with how terraria is basically the worlds most unique RPG, and to make all of this really work would it need in the best case the ability to make all the Species existing in Terraria (Human, Goblin, Definitively Werwolf as these come to be by being bitten from a Fox, Goblin, Lizard, Truffle, Cyborg) to have the right guys at the right place as there is just so much you can do using vanity, therefore be best solved by just adding an extra window to the character creator in general. It just streamlines the process and:
I just want to be a funny fox girl in epic solar flare fox armor still showing the ears and tail, or the ungenderered, as that is only retained to plants and animals, mushroom man of destiny in his abstrus armor sets needing to fit his strange physiology. This would of cause need way to much sprite work having all the armor sets adapt to species to ever ask for it but asking does not hurt.

These are just some ideas that come to my mind when thinking about build where i real would need to have the people be there to make it an idea i find worth pursuing:
I would like to see the Horned civilization of the underworld in worship of the so called "Guid" (What, where do you think the voodoo demons get the dolls from),
the Fungus civilization found inside the earth of which but 1 left to surface,
the totally normal town of normal people that are just normal surface dwellers,
or even the highly advanced space travelers with Cybernetic Augmentations,
the true Lizard civilization that gets overshadowed by everyone only thinking of the lunatics worshiping golem,
the strongly fortified Dwarven miners of the dessert who's Pylon can hardly be seen as a real entrance to their city despite teleporting you right in the midst of it,
those Goblins that constantly send waves after waves of soldiers to war to conquer more of the worlds surface area for their growing population,
a jungle born Civilization of Werwolfs who needed to seek out the most dangerous parts of the world to not endanger other peoples,
or uncertainly maypossibly that place hidden deep underneath the surface of the Skeletons from where the Skeleton Merchant gets his sells.
And it needs to be as many as my pc can handle to make this work we are talking possibly up to a hundred randos that in the greater sense do nothing.

I would say that i could just try to make a mode for that myself and depending on how it shapes out will i for certain try but i am no artist, so to preserve the sanctity of all that terraria is does it need professionals doing this instead of some rando staling the in game sprites and trying to draw over it until it looks passable. I always try to make this big world of cities and connection systems between them but then i quickly realize just how barren it looks when there are buildings but only like 3 NPCs per region in a now literal fortress of solitude. It would just be so cool especially in multiplayer when everyone gets their own town to build on or you make hide and seek trying to impersonate being an NPC while others need to find you with the least casualties (which would need stuff like rotten eggs if not for some mod that allows attacking NPCs).

These are just some of my thoughts after having started up a new world and realizing how pointless it is to do big structures and especially NPC friendly ways of travel with just 25 who you probably also want to reach easily at all times just destroying the idea of doing excessive building despite that being such an integral part of the game.

So custom NPCs? I’ve seen it around, and I like it. I think it should be separated from the fluffs and should just be one guy.

Anyway, what I’m getting from this is you want NPCs that don’t really do anything besides add fluff to a city. That could be really cool, just make it so they don’t get in the way of the important ones spawning.

Maybe you could have an item that allows for a species to enter your housing menu? Then you could add and remove them from existence just by adding and removing them from valid housing? That would be epic.

I think that it would make villages truly possible, but i need something to make my sentence sound less like a non playable character, so I think there should be something like the desk when changing the outfit to change their look, and be spawned by something similar to the town pets.
