Generally Pixies and Fairies look like women with wings, instead of just the glowing ball with wings where you can't see their appearance. I'd like to think LoZ started the design but I could be wrong.

Navi's wings are kinda pointed at the ends, whereas Terraria Pixies' wings are rounded at the ends. I can't refute that it still looks like Navi.

I never made the association as if they wanted the to be the fairies from Legend of Zelda they would have made them constantly say "listen, listen, listen..." Glagh it terrifies me just remembering that thing...

From that distance, you wouldn't be able to see a "woman with wings," their natural non-vampiric sparklyness would make their shape blur and become a "ball."
