I keep getting errors when trying to link my Steam account to my forum account

The process seems to go well, in theory. I reach the page where Steam asks me if I want to login to this forum through my Steam account, I tell it yes... And then it tells me that there was an error during authentication. Every single time I have tried, this has happened. What gives?
 
We are aware of the problem and looking for a solution. We don't know of a work-around or when it might be fixed.
