PC I need help with opening terraria from steam (the game won't launch even after i have verified the game files

Hi there can someone please explain to me how too fix this as I don't quite understand how to fix this like where to go in the files and all that.

I think have the same problems here. terraria doesn't even open the window of the game. click the play button and some seconds after steam shoes, that the game is closed.
the error can only be seen in windows journal

This sounds like it might be due to mods or file corruption. If you have any mods installed, please try removing them and restarting Terraria. Please also try verifying the game files through Steam.
 
I've got the same issue. Been trying for 2 years periodically to fix it to no avail.
You hit start, the screen goes white , then it goes off. When i verify it it says its missing a file.
there seems to be a bunch of fixes that work for some but nothing works for me.
I feel your pain!
I,m about to delete the game and erase it from my memory if i cant find something soon
my advice is to follow every youtube video you can and maybe one of the many fixes will work for you. Sorry I have no answers!!!!

Not a single mod i have. tried to verifyed the game files and yes it said 1 file failed to validate and will be reacquired. and that's all. nothing more happens(.
But this problem only on stationary PC. on a laptop it works well.

seems i've got the :red:ed up build of the windows on a PC(
