I'm trying to make a teleporter hub underneath my base, but I cannot find a way to replace the walls in the background. Is it possible to remove them?

yes you need explosives to blow up a portion of the wall revealing edges so u can then use a hammer to remove the rest of the walls

dirt walls are weird in the way that you can only destroy them at the edge
