Premise:
I think the marble caves have way more items than the granite caves but that the two biomes should be more equal. The marble caves have the hoplites, which drop a useful set of early pre-hardmode armor which provides knock back immunity as an alternative to the obsidian shield, the javelins which are a useful ranged weapon, and the strongest shortsword in the game which pairs well with the armor. Then there is the Medusa, a rare hardmode enemy which drops a cool magic weapon and an accessory which is necessary to craft the ankh shield. Whereas the Granite caves only have the night vision helmet which can be dropped by granite golems and can be upgraded to the ultrabright helmet. I think that the granite golem should be changed to a rare hardmode enemy in order to be more similar to the Medusa and should be given another unique drop.
Granite Glove:
My idea for the drop is an accessory called the granite glove which gives you the ability to hold your secondary attack button on any weapon to hold up your guard just like the granite golem. The attack would be visually identical to when the granite golem blocks including the blue glow. The block functions identically to the brand of the inferno and the sergeant united shield except instead of a shield it uses the gloves and can be used with any melee weapon. The granite glove can be combined with the mechanical glove at a tinkerer’s workbench to make the Granite Gauntlet which has all the buffs of the mechanical glove plus the guard ability of the granite glove. This would be an alternative to the fire gauntlet.
