NPCs & Enemies Ice Golem Rework

Torch God
Ice Golem is pretty notorious for being incredibly pathetic.
It's insanely easy to cheese, it's AI is not good, and it barely has a semblence of a threat beyond non-telegraphed laser shots.
Here's my ideas for a rework:
#1: Give this thing more attacks
I think it desperately needs this. It could do with a Deerclops-esque slam attack creating ice spikes in front of it. A different idea is giving it a laser barrage after charging up for a bit of time.
#2: Make this thing able to go through blocks to reach the player.
While the Sand Elemental can't do this, it has an actually decent attack, along with the enemies that are guaranteed to be nearby making closing yourself in a box a death sentence.
#3: More drops
Here's two ideas I have:

Glacial Hammer
Damage: 56 (Melee)
Use time: 30
Swings the hammer above the head, creating a short wave of ice spikes (similar to Deerclop's) when it either contacts the ground or reaches the bottom of it's swing. The spikes linger for a short time.

Frigid Head
Damage: 50 (Magic)
Use time: 25
Looks like the head of an Ice Golem. Charges up to release a barrage of frigid lasers.

The core issue is how different snow biomes and desert biomes are while the game tries to force a connection. Sand Elemental isn't difficult, but under the threats of sand sharks, a huge worm, and probably some other stuff it can feel very overwhelming. Ice Golem is all alone. It's difficult to just say "add enemies to blizzards" because they show up during rain and not randomly.

I suppose buffing it is in order, though I rather tackle some problems with the blizzard and sandstorm events not really being opposites as the cores would suggest.

Ice Nimbus perhaps

Sand Elemental isn't difficult,
I disagree. The tornadoes deal massive damage and are hard to evade, and it is not nearly as easy to cheese a Sand Elemental compared to an Ice Golem.

I wish the forbidden fragments had more use tho, I'm not exactly good at Terraria so I always go for the highest defense armor and literally never use frost or forbidden armor so if there was a gimmick weapon like a sword that deals ranged damage would be cool

I'm not a fan of that solution, but that's a topic for another day.

His laser attack definitely needs a telegraph. Maybe instead of going through walls, what if the ice Golem is able to spawn ice spikes on your feet. It'll punish the box cheese while making the fight more interesting. I'm in favor for more weapons as long as they don't affect the ice core/feather drop rate.

They also trap you in an area, making the worms and sharks a much bigger threat.

You're proving Aster's point by saying that, but that doesn't mean you're wrong.

One idea I had was to make them combinable with glow sticks in order to produce radiation rods, which would be used to craft very interesting ammunition, such as radioactive flares that cause AOE damage for as long as they're alight. Which, due to balancing issues, would not be the ungodly long amount of time that flairs normally remain alight.

Yep, nuclear energy is "Forbidden" in many senses, no?

I actually have a full on mega list of things that I would love to see added to the game: the Titanic Giant List of Suggestions. If you want to see it.

It's the hyperlink in the paragraph of text below my posts. Impossible to miss.

You could even go on there and suggest an idea of your own and I may tack it on the list?

I love seeing such good ideas on this forum!

They should be able to pass through Snow and Ice blocks.
