I think this suggestion is offensive due to making fun of wheelchair drivers. This reminds me of the debate to delete "OCD simulator" from the window title due to joking about a mental problem.

This seems..dodgy. Like somewhat of a dark joke that is more mean spirited than funny. It would piss people off.

I would prefer it if there was an option to have a wheelchair as a disability your character can start with in character creation. It wouldn’t affect gameplay by much, except maybe making it change several animations and a slight speed loss at the start.

Movement accessories might need to be rehauled, though.

I think it should be faster. On the high end, wheelchairs irl go 8 miles per hour. Them maybe it can also go on minecart tracks.

I don't think the idea of adding a wheelchair is necessarily bad, but doing it in this way is a bit tasteless. We should be elevating and helping disabled people, not mocking them. Why not just make it a decent early-game mount?

I think the best form of implementation would be a minecart or something, maybe a mount. In its current form, this wouldn’t be a good addition to the game.

I think the important part here is that even in your title you knew that it could be seen as “deplorable”. That’s not what we are really hoping for in the Suggestions section. As others have nicely and civilly mentioned, let’s present ideas that can lift up the game and make it better.

I’m going to lock this thread from further replies, as - even though it hasn’t yet, and I appreciate all the replies being tasteful and constructive - it has the possibility of getting too far out of hand too quickly, and it’s really not needed.
