Same goes for snow, but they are both such content filled biomes already I could easily see people voting for the mini biomes or some other biome that they prefer. Only ones Ill be surprised to see people vote for is dungeon and HallowHonestly, the desert is the biome that most deserves a boss as of now.
The dungeon is the only biome I think should never ever get a boss. It would be extremely difficult to design a boss around the long, random hallways of the dungeon.Only ones Ill be surprised to see people vote for is dungeon
Oh haha, I was counting skeletron and lunatic. For a boss inside the dungeon though, A worm boss might work, but who knows. The dungeon is the only biome I think should never ever get a boss. It would be extremely difficult to design a boss around the long, random hallways of the dungeon.
Maybe a flaming wheel ai boss?Oh haha, I was counting skeletron and lunatic. For a boss inside the dungeon though, A worm boss might work, but who knows.
The problem is, a lot of those are either not proper bosses, or just themed around those biomes (All of the space bosses, for example.)When I think about it, I consider nearly every Biome to be covered. From a Lore perspective, I'm still working things out, but with what I do know, that's kinda covered too.
Lastly, we have outliers such as Pumpking, that could easily be considered a Forest Boss, but tied to Seasonal Events, like Halloween & of course Christmas (Frost Moon Bosses/ Tundra Themed). Then, events like Blood Moon & Solar Eclipse, that also lie outside the Biome Boss limitation. That's why I think we're pretty much covered in that aspect, because Biomes only seem like the rule, but they're just normally tied to some Lore reason & likely nothing else beyond that.
- Purity/Forest exclusive boss (Eye of Cthulhu, there isn't supposed to be a Boss here, but he's the imposing threat for now)
- Desert (Sand Elemental)
- Snow (Ice Golem, Frost Legion, Ice Queen)
- Jungle (Queen Bee, Plantera, Golem)
- Ocean (The Duke)
- Space (Martians, Pillars, Moon Lord)
- Crimson (The Brain)
- Corruption (Eater of Worlds)
- Underworld (The Wall, I also count The Red Devil)
- Hallow (Queen Slime, Empress)
- Meteorite
- Spider Cave
- Marble (I used to count Medusa, but she was nerfed, hard...
)
- Granite
- Dungeon (Skelly Tron)
- Lizhard Temple (This is just Jungle IMHO)
Wow, that's like thirty-something Bosses, right??![]()
I haven’t fought the red devil enough to remember, but isn’t he more of a normal enemy.I also count The Red Devil
True, but adding a boss to the lizhard temple would effect the gameplay more than just a jungle boss, since you would likely have to adjust how the temple works for it to make sense and work fluidly.

Well, that's why I was speaking from a Lore perspective, because if I wasn't, you could argue that every Biome deserves a Boss... right down to the Glowing Mushroom Biome, which isn't really Lore friendly... at least from what I know so far. Some Biomes simply exist independent of a Guardian, which seems ok to me. I haven't kept up on my Lore as of recently so, this is just from a 1.3.5+ perspective, unless some new information exists that I'm not aware of...??The problem is, a lot of those are either not proper bosses, or just themed around those biomes (All of the space bosses, for example.)
Jungle Temple already needs a generation overhaul. Particularly in Golem's room. It's possible, mods have proven that.you would likely have to adjust how the temple works for it to make sense and work fluidly.
you could make a instantuation bomb that actuates bricks around it in a radius automatically like Fargo's Mutant doesWell, that's why I was speaking from a Lore perspective, because if I wasn't, you could argue that every Biome deserves a Boss... right down to the Glowing Mushroom Biome, which isn't really Lore friendly... at least from what I know so far. why create an in game item that solves the problem instead of just, you know, solving the problem?Or
you could make a instantuation bomb that actuates bricks around it in a radius automatically like Fargo's Mutant does
Oh lol I knew I forgot to add a biome to the poll.Glowing Mushroom Biome
Don't forget Graveyard too then! If there's more, I can't think of 'em right now.Oh lol I knew I forgot to add a biome to the poll.
Sand Elementals, Ice Golems and Red Devils are just tough enemies that don't feel like bosses at all, plus they only have one or two drops. The Frost Moon and Pumpkin Moon aren't tied to specific biomes, so I wouldn't consider the bosses from those events as biome bosses. When I think about it, I consider nearly every Biome to be covered. From a Lore perspective, I'm still working things out, but with what I do know, that's kinda covered too.

I feel like space at least fits under the same category as ocean, as space doesn’t have any mini biomes inside of it. That might just be me though.Space, Underground and Cavern are just layers, not actual biomes, and they're taken up by lots of other biomes and mini-biomes
I thought spider caves were usually pretty big, around the same size as marble and granite. And you could just have the boss spawn from a meteorite like How you spawn empress in the hallow but can fight her anywhere.Meteorites and Spider Caves are too small to fight bosses in.
Blasphemy. The Graveyard isn't really a biome in my eyes.
The line between "tough enemies" & Bosses has been pretty thin for quite a while. For example:Sand Elementals, Ice Golems and Red Devils are just tough enemies that don't feel like bosses at all, plus they only have one or two drops. The Frost Moon and Pumpkin Moon aren't tied to specific biomes, so I wouldn't consider the bosses from those events as biome bosses.
