Id kill the merchant because he lies about selling many things that he doesn't actually sell
 
I'd have to do that to Santa; he doesn't sell anything good.

It'd probably put me on the naughty list, though...

Doesn't the traveling merchant have the same problem?
 
The Tavernkeep. The OoA is useless in most cases and he just takes up housing.

He may be usesless shopwise, but he makes the Demolitionist happy at least.

Dye trader.
Somehow, he always shows up when you desperately need a different NPC
 
the stylist because:
1: shes useless
2: i just dont like her
 
The only NPC I would be willing to do that to is the Guide, and only to reveal his true form as the Wall of Flesh, not out of annoyance or disapproval.
 
The Traveling Merchant. There are 2 reasons for this:
  1. He sometimes sells an item that I GREATLY DISLIKE.
  2. Peddler's Hat and Peddler's Satchel exist.
