If you were a boss in Terraria..

(Ranged weapon) Tesla Coil: Upgraded Magnet sphere for rangers. Hits multiple enemies, explodes when hitting a wall.
(Accesory) Phantom Booster: Allows the player to dash (Like tabi), however phases out the player making him/her invincible while dashing.
(Accesory) Secret Sword: Press Shift + right mouse to ready a counter. taking dmg strikes in front of you, with 75% of the dmg of the attack you counter.
(Magic weapon) Portable Speakers: Blasts a sound wave that gets less powerful the further it travels. Power is restored if hit by another sound wave.
(Melee weapon) Tempest Blade: Fires a small shot of wing with every swing, that bounces of enemies.
(Fun item) RC Helipad, RC heli control panel: Wire theese together, and right click the control panel to spawn a mini RC helicopter that you can fly around with. It has a small, not so powerful gun (Fires like minishark, with more dmg).

Dinklewinkle's scythe use time is very slow but shoots massive scythes the scythes have little cat faces:
Dinklewinkle's mad wings height of angel wings but will occasionally shoots a random projectile:
Dinklewinkle's holy armor sets up a shield with 199 hp but when broken it explodes dealing 200 damage but takes 39 seconds to recharge
 
I took some weapons/mechanics from games I've played recently and made them into drops. I tried to give them unique effects. Feel free to use these ideas in a mod, if you'd like.
100% drop chance when the world's Hallow percentage is greater than the world's Crimson + Corruption percentage combined. If the percentages are equal, a Pure Heart or Dark Heart will drop.

Equipable - Accessory
Allows the user to dash left or right with a double tap. For the duration of the dash, gain immunity to projectile attacks. Successfully dashing through a projectile grants the player a +5% damage bonus and +10% movement speed buff called Hyper lasting for 3 seconds. This bonus does not stack, but will be refreshed to 3 seconds upon each successful dash.

Each dash applies a defense reduction debuff for 3 seconds, called Heated. This debuff will stack, lasting longer and granting more severe effects the more you dash in a short period of time.

Any contact damage taken while dashing ignores the player's defense and ends the dash effect.
Tooltip - Faster!!

100% drop chance when the world's Corruption + Crimson percentage is greater than the world's Hallow percentage. If the percentages are equal, a Pure Heart or Dark Heart will drop.

Equipable - Accessory
Upon taking damage, dark thorns are released in random directions, expanding for about 10 tiles, and then remaining stationary for a short time. These thorns will damage enemies. Thorn damage increases based on how low the player's current health is.

The effect has a 30 second cooldown.
Tooltip - Shroud yourself in the world's cruelty

25% drop chance.

Melee Weapon
Lunge in any direction with extreme force, unaffected by gravity. Lunge distance is 12 tiles by default, with a small distance increase based on melee speed. The attack pierces indefinitely for the duration of the attack, and all contact damage is ignored. Taking projectile damage will stop the attack completely, and the projectile damage taken will ignore the player's defense.

Each attack applies a defense reduction debuff for 2 seconds, called Heated. This debuff will stack, lasting longer and granting more severe effects the more you lunge in a short period of time.

Contact with a solid block during this attack will cause a rebound effect, and the attack will continue as normal.

The lunge engulfs the player in a light blue, triangular arrow/spear shape for the duration of the attack, pointing in the lunge direction.

25% drop chance.

??? Weapon
Has the ability to shoot any projectile in the game, excluding enemy-exclusive projectiles. However, it will shoot a completely random projectile when used. Damage dealt will be based on the projectile, with melee projectiles dealing melee damage, ranged projectiles dealing ranged damage, magic projectiles dealing magic damage, and minion projectiles dealing minion damage.

For the user's safety, tile-damaging projectiles are excluded from this.
Tooltip - RNG in a contained state

Magic Weapon
Forms a large yellow ring around the player, which expands for a few seconds and shoots projectiles outwards in the process.
It has a very slow speed and a very large mana cost.

Ranged Weapon - Rocket damage
Converts rockets into square, energy-like projectiles that move in a wavy pattern (~), and pass through tiles. These beams explode and deal damage when enemy contact is made or after enough distance is traveled.

5% drop chance (10% Expert)

Vanity Item - Accessory
Surrounds the player in a small strand of dark thorns.

5% drop chance (10% Expert)

Vanity Item - Accessory
Creates a crescent moon effect behind the player. (Similar to the Stardust Guardian effect)

Vanity Item - Accessory
For use with the Dark Heart. The Dark Heart's thorns will appear as chains instead. These chains function identically to the thorns.
Has no effect unless a Dark Heart is equipped.
Tooltip - For the sake of protecting everyone

...What? I don't want people actually wanting to kill me, do I? (They might have a bone to pick with the dev who thought putting such an item in the game would be funny, though).
