Yeah it will give ya more time in between hits. Its one of the best things if you get hit alot which is common with hardmode bosses
Thanks for the tip. And thank you for backing me up.
[DOUBLEPOST=1445509896][/DOUBLEPOST]No offense to Apple users. Someone said there is no large worlds because apple device's ram can't handle it.
So please make android devices can have large worlds.
When apple can handle such worlds give them the chance to have them.
Please don't hold back android users because apple can't handle bigger worlds.

Again no offense.
:)

:(...Wait...:( WHAT ABOUT ANDROID?!? I HAVE 4.4.2! WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO ME?!?

...No. Since android is better about version diversity most of us will get the update

LET THE ISHEEPS ATTACK

They’re supposed to be that hard.
They're suppose to be hard I get it. But unless I'm missing something I can defeat atleast destroyer.

And guys I can't find any mimics.
[DOUBLEPOST=1445518666,1445518575][/DOUBLEPOST]I killed wall of flesh week ago. I ran into 3 mimics. That's it. Never ran into one for 3 days now.
[DOUBLEPOST=1445518850][/DOUBLEPOST]
Cross Necklace. That is all
I said I got it.. Oops.. Actually I don't. I have read a post about that item. But never got the cross necklace.
Can't find any mimics.
Any tips on that.?

No, they’re supposed to be as hard as they are now. Before they were way too easy.

About the Mimics: do you have the latest version? If so, mimics have special spawning conditions. I believe they only spawn in tunnels. On the surface they only spawn in front of dirt walls. And they are very rare.
1.2.10333 is the version I have I think it is is the latest I guess. Coz no new updates available in Google play store.
So it will take time to get that necklace. Right?

I was confused when apple players got upset when cloud savings will no longer work with ios7 from next update..
Now I know why they are soo bummed when that news released. Some items take ages to aquire.. Right?

No, you were right, Codeglue is developing it. I think they meant to say 505games but accidentally said Re-Logic.

I will take offense.
Just joking =P. Whoever said that was wrong. It’s mobile devices in general. Most of them have the specs to support at least small worlds or medium worlds, but the old devices with like 256 MBs of RAM can’t. Although support for those devices will soon be dropped (maybe in the next update), so we'll probably get at least small worlds soon, which are fine. (They’re over three times bigger than mobile sized worlds!)
So what you're telling is. Although I have 2gb ram(1.1 gb free) I can't have large worlds in my device.

You probably can, what I’m saying is that many mobile devices have a lot less ram than your device, and it wouldn’t be good if there was an update that added large worlds and some people with older devices tried to use the worlds but couldn’t, and it made the game all laggy for them. They should add small worlds, though.
So what we have now isn't small. Is it smaller than that too??
Wow. :(
[DOUBLEPOST=1445520136,1445520042][/DOUBLEPOST]My little brother is lucky then. He own a pc version of terraria.
I only have mobile. :(

Keep in mind that the general RAM requirements will increase above and beyond any world size requirements. For example, the current PC version requires >2.5gb and recommends at least 4. With that in mind - coupled with other obvious things that make mobile different, there will always have to be some tweaks made to fit it all in. That said, I would agree that it is worth exploring.

---

Re-Logic does not directly work on Console or Mobile Terraria - however, as the owners of the overall franchise, we have stepped up our level of engagement with the development of each of those platforms over the past several months (as 505 noted in a post a bit ago) to help "raise the game" across the board. That includes helping to set priorities, guide features/design, feedback on game balance, and assisting with the finding of bugs and the like.

In this specific instance, we found several bugs in the feature-complete beta version and shared that with 505/CG - and will continue to do so. As I noted before, our priority is always on a cleaner game over timing - that has always been our goal. So, I would urge everyone to consider that this is actually a good thing - catching more bugs and fixing them pre-launch. :)

That said, I do not know what the exact timing will be to get that all sorted (though I do know that everyone is working quickly and hard to do so). Will see if we can get some official word soon.

This is all regarding the 1.2.3-4 version. I would have to defer to 505 on any updates on timing (and will ask about it) - but yeah, we will keep testing and sending them what we find. Given our depth of experience with the game, we tend to catch things most others would miss. :)

All I ever saw 505 talk about was what was planned - and any plan has to be subject to change as the situation changes or it isn't a very good plan at all. ;)

So it means that your target will be really October ? Because that's your "plan" right? So we can expect either late-October release or early-November release right? Can you get the logic, we attach to our minds that
"They will release" rather than "plan to release". But indeed you want to give us a cleaner, less bug, and user-friendly for mobile players so, for me, in that case you can take your time to compile the game in a complex operating system for the good of the users. However, even I have Android, do the plan B (Let iOS v7.0 and below will not have the update and have them a stable update) will be push by the 505Games and Codeglue for there are many frustrated terrarian, as I think? I am so very hype for the 1.2.3-4 update. Thank you @Loki for a friendly news to calm us down.

The derail is real here lol.
Thanks for the update @Loki, it's Sweet to know what's going on a bit in detail so thank you.
And guys, try to understand that mobile devices have sharper limits than PCs do, so even if your device can handle large worlds, maybe mine cant (just an example). Point is there is a lot of variation in Android phones especially. Each manufacturer tweaks a bit, and so does the carrier. So it's better to have a mobile sized world in the long run, as it allows more people to play a stable fun game.
Just saying, lol. Before ya go asking for more more more, try to think about the consequences of doing that particular thing.
God bless!

But at least they should have given us an option to make small/medium/large worlds. Those with little RAM would simply use small worlds -or at least check how much lags are there on bigger ones-, while those with better devices could try playing on bigger worlds. I think my tablet with 800 RAM would smoothly run at least medium one.
How?
Tell me please?
Ummm, dig pit in dirt, leave natural dirt walls and stand somewhere where you can't see room, and check pit from time to time. I used wooden platforms above surface pit. And Water Candle. You should see one eventually. Though easiest way is to just do some exploring, they're not that rare.

Thanks @Loki for the news. We can wait little longer for a stable gameplay.

Yeah. I'm the one who ask about large worlds. Sorry about that. Just need to get even with my little brother who playing pc terraria. :(

Want to suggest something. And of course it's about world size.
When we create worlds if possible codeglue and relogic can implement something like this.

When creating worlds. The app look for free ram space and memory. If that ram can handle large worlds game give us the option of choosing large small and medium.
If the device only can handle medium worlds. Option to select large world will be disable.
The device only can handle small. There is no selection. When pressed create new world it automatically create a small world.nothing more.

Sorry about bothering about world Size.

Yes, small worlds are ~4,200 blocks horizontally, mobile worlds are ~1,800 blocks horizontally.

I agree with you except that it is most certainly NOT best to have mobile sized worlds. The “small” world size in the PC version is perfect.

Yes, that’s the ideal situation. Sadly, I don’t think that the apps are allowed to know how much RAM the device has, so it might not work.
Oh.. Is that true? Sorry. Don't have any knowledge about programming. So there is no work arounds?

apparently demon torches spawn in giant trees (iOS and Amazon, not tested on Android). is this a Halloween feature or a bug?

I do agree that at least small world's would be nice. I mean, I haven't had any issues with the mobile sized, but they are pretty darn compact so biome generation is weird, and makes the lizard temple small. So I'll agree there, I just think with all the talk of using so much ram, that it would be hard to implement medium or large worlds without having bugs that possibly break the game.
But yeah, @SwordAce1103 I agree with ya.
God bless y'all!
