Hey everybody, Phoenixblade here, back with another suggestion! This one's a bit of a small one, and I hope you enjoy! As usual, I'd appreciate any comments, criticisms, suggestions, and support! Also, if you happen to have a more fleshed out, similar idea, please let me know!
Well, let's get started with the main Vanilla Edit in this suggestion:
Vanilla Edit
- Depending on which biome you're in, certain slimes spawn. In my opinion, it's kind of bland to just have blue, green, and purple slimes (Oh yeah, Pinkies too) spawn wherever you are. So, this'd be the vanilla list of slimes spawning during the Slime Rain:
Forest/Purity
- Blue, Green, Purple slimes and Pinky (now known as regular slimes for ease of reading and writing)
- Umbrella Slimes (if raining)
- Hoppin' Jack (Hardmode, Halloween, only at night)
Desert:
- Regular Slimes
- Sand Slime
Snow Biome:
- Regular Slimes
- Ice Slime
- Spiked Ice Slime (Expert only)
Jungle:
- Regular Slimes
- Jungle Slime
- Spiked Jungle Slime (Expert Only)
Corruption:
- Regular Slimes
- Corrupt Slime (Hardmode Only)
- Slimer (Hardmode Only)
Crimson:
- Regular Slimes
- Crimslime (Hardmode Only)
Hallow:
- Regular Slimes
- Illuminant Slime (Hardmode. Yes, it does spawn on the surface, I thought it would be a challenge
)
Now, here's another spin on the idea. Since the Slime Rain is a special event, why not have custom enemies spawn (again, depending on biome)? So, I present to you, my ideas for custom Slime Rain enemies. I don't have any ideas for hardmode slimes as of now, so please suggest ideas if you have any!
Purity/Forest:
Forest Slime
9 Damage
50 HP
4 Defense
Spawns in the Purity Biome Prehardmode, as commonly as the Purple Slime does.
Drops:
Living Leaf Wand (1%)
Living Wood Wand (1%)
Living Loom (1%)
And Gel, of course. That'll go without saying to avoid being repetitive
Zombie Slime
13 Damage
64 HP
7 Defense
Spawns commonly in the Purity Biome at night.
Drops:
Zombie Arm (0.4%)
Desert:
Sandstone Slime
6 Damage
54 HP
9 Defense
Spawns commonly in the Desert Biome.
Ornate Slime
14 Damage
90 HP
7 Defense
Rare. Replaces Pinky in Desert Biome.
Drops:
1 Gold Coin (100%)
2-3 Sapphires (50%)
Snow:

Giant Ice Slime
23 Damage
180 HP
11 Defense
Very Rare.
1 Gold Coin (100%)
Snowfall Staff (33%)
Well, since there's no other custom drop, I'll just explain it here.
13 Summon Damage
Costs 11 Mana
Summons a stationary Ice Slime Sentry that shoots ice spikes at enemies, which has a 10% chance to afflict the Frostburn debuff on enemies! It also fills the stationary mob niche for early hardmode.
Jungle:
Mahogany Slime
9 Damage
40 HP
7 Defense
Common
Drops:
Rich Mahogany Leaf Wand (1%)
Living Mahogany Wand (1%)
Honey Slime
90 HP
12 Damage
8 Defense
Uncommon. Found only after defeating the Queen Bee.
Drops:
3-5 Honey Blocks (100%)
Also drops half a block of Honey, similarly to Lava Slimes in Expert Mode.
Ocean:
Coconut Slime (Sprite by @MenacingMerlin)
60 HP
9 Damage
10 Defense
Common.
Corruption:
Unholy Slime (Yet another sprite by @MenacingMerlin)
