Weapons & Equip Improving Summoner and Pre-Hardmode Ranger Progression

That was sort of my reasoning for calling them niche armors. I do enjoy using them and they can be valuable, however they are based more around special use than overall stat up. More of a earlier though slightly less general use sidegrade too me.
The fun part is that using them in that special way often yields better results than using an "advanced" armor that way, but they also have the drawback of being worse when not used in that way (i.e. Meteor Armor or Valkyrie Armor).

It's a great suggestion 10/10 would like to see this in game.
Anyway there's one thing I'm doubtful from your suggestion.

Well as always you're work are really impressive. Total support.

Funny thing, in my mod, I was planning on making a skeleton staff since 0.1a as well, and I still am.

Huh. It's the Creeper, Eater, and Antlion that I see pop up most often. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I read through *most* of it.
Can't say I'm not impressed, if I was then I would need to see a doctor.

Also, how about a Grand Harpy Mask?

I love it. So much. Power to the summoners!

Some sprites I especially love:

Amazing, as usual.

I just love everything in this. EVERYTHING.

This is an impressive amount of little things that resonate really well together! Wolf Dens sound like a great low tier micro-dungeon. That direwolf mount sounds wonderful as well! My favorite concept from the wolf den idea is the Warbanner/Vanguard though. So perfect for a paladin item build.

I'm a bit torn on the grand harpy. I love the mob and drop continuity but the tail mechanic seems better suited for a unique kind of Manticore, or something.
The first iteration of the Valkyrie armor is the most Monster Hunter lookin' thing I've seen in days. I love it. The Aviator set makes me wish there was a Steampunk Biplane! Does a message appear when sky metal spawns in? Also 'Skymetal' seems a bit bland in comparison with other ores and substances.

What would be an ideal way to grow Maplewoods on the surface? They're too pretty to be just stuck in the skyline.

The water chest summoning item not being called a Crab Stick is a missed opportunity. :D
Always happy to see a necromancy summoner item too. Whopping 48 different skeletons in-game and no way to summon them.
The Paladin's Pendant makes me curious if Taunt mechanics are possible. Very interesting concepts all round!

my meer words alone can not convey how much yes i feel. this is probably one of the most yes-worthy suggestions ever!!!

fully supported!!

Wow. I posted but never stated my main opinions! I'll say that I support the wolf dens (which are amazing) and changes to Floating Islands, but not the new Grand Harpy boss. I like the idea of a ranger armor crafted with spiky balls. :p

Support, except on the Spider armour being post-mech. I might've gotten everything wrong, but the Summoner needs something to carry him to the next armour.

What about a summon weapon dropped by the Wall? We need that, and I would love to see what you come up with for that (probably leech- or hungry-related).
I can imagine a staff of hunger, which summons mini versions of "the hungry" that are attached to the player by strings like the wall of flesh and have high enough damage to protect a summoner in early hard mode, but limited range

:sigh:

Is the Breaker Blade related to the Wall? Clockwork Assault Rifle? Laser Rifle? This works for a Fungi Bulb/Man Eater staff, but the Wall should get something futuristic to go with its other drops.

If this suggestion is implemented in its entirety, then they have HM ore helmets, so yeah.

They aren't really futuristic, they're more steampunk, I think.

Who cares if its other drops aren't fleshy? does that make it impossible for it to have a fleshy drop? no, it doesn't. thank you very much.

Sorry, didn't notice how rude I looked. But personally, I would want to keep the "steampunk" feel of its other weapon drops.

Yes...Yes...YES! This is an amazing suggestion its really awesome!

If you're honest, the clockwork assault rifle is the only actually steampunk drop he has.
