Biomes & Nature Improving the Ocean

In my opinion the Ocean is probably the least developed biome in Terraria because

1-It has no hardmode enemies.
2-It has very basic terrain.
3-It has terrible loot ( not including Duke Fishron )

They have improved the Ocean in the past, especially when they added Duke Fishron but there's still a lot they could do with it, and since they haven't tapped into its full potential it remains my least favorite biome.To improve it they should definitely make it deeper, add caverns to it, and make more enemies and good loot. I pretty much want it to look like the ocean in the terraria otherworld trailer with a little more originality.

Dude! Play the Thorium mod, it basically adds to every problem the vanilla game has, including this one where it adds an underground Ocean biome and an Ocean boss.

(I know that 'play this mod' is never constructive when talking about suggestions, but this feels more like a complaint as Garak said, so I figured I'd show OP a way to fix that.)
