Switch is yoyo speedrunning a thing?

is this even something someone would do? i know the first step would be getting the amazon to bonk Skelly with, but after that i guess you'd make a quick statue farm for the cascade?

and use shadow key to get inferno potions prob
mebbe fight king slime for slime mount? that thing does some serious damage, especially with some way of preventing fall damage

I've seen Phantasem beat the game yo-yo only, but not speedrun it.

also i kinda suck at the game as ive never beaten plantera
but mostly im dumb
ok story time
so the other day i started hardmode on switch
i immediately found the skelly merchant and he had everything i wanted
i forgot u could use money in your piggy bank and i had a platinum
so i magic mirrored home
he despawned and i lost the platinum by dying to a steath Corrupt Mimic over lava
story time over

The hardest parts of the run would probably be WoF and moonlord.
Cascade is not that good against WoF and the EoC comes several progression tiers before lunar events.

It would prbably go like
wood yoyo
Amazon
Eye of cthulu (for the shield)
Skeletron
Farm cascade
Fight WoF
Get gradient or amarok
Kill prime
Get yelets
Kill the two other mechs
Kill plantera and golem
Get kraken or the eye of cthulu
Kill Empress (for soaring insignia you'll need a lot of mobility to make this work for lunar events)
Lunar events
Moonlord

Nice but I would substitute Hel-Fire in there since it's really easy to get with battle potion and combine that with the Amarok and your set for the start of hard mode
