I was thinking of maybe a wasteland like environment for the hallow alternate. And the crimson does have a shadow orb alternate, called demon hearts.

But: There is no Demon heart/Crimson heart as an ITEM THAT EMITS LIGHT (LIKE THE SHADOWORB ITEM)

I think he meant the orb that follows you and is a (weak) light source.

The Corruption is already classified as wasteland-ish. A Hallow alternative would have to counteract with the crimson. We wouldn't want two sp00ks in the same world, would we?
