January 13 update - crash at load

Latest January 13 update crashes just after the Drak Net splash screen. Before this, I see the error "Failed fetching download url". Android 4.0.4 on Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9.
Last update ran fine, other than the multiplayer issue. But this one doesn't even start up.

I have the same problem on my HP Slate 7, I was excited to see the crash fixes in this update, but now I can't even get to the main menu.

Crashes for me as well immediately upon launching the game. Nexus 6 running 5.0.1
