My screen goes black then crashes back to the android home screen. Nexus 6 running Android 5.0.1

I'm seeing same thing on nexus 7 (2012).
1st "connecting to server" with green spinny thing
then "fetching download url"
back to "connecting to server" with the splash screen that Nathan attached...
...then crash to home screen with the "Unfortunately, Terraria has stopped" message :(

Any ideas how to fix?

same problem
i know that "the server" is talking about the wifi ( mine is perfectly fine).
dont understand why it isnt working
i could try a new network if thats worth a try

Bump - I see a LOAD of negative reviews of terraria on play store with complaints about this issue?
Seems that the update borked a lot of peoples install.
Can it be fixed by another patch (from play store)? Or is my install hosed?

Go to Android/obb and make new folder name "Paid"

Should work!

@quantonator sorry I'm not really into all that Android IT stuff... what is obb? And should this folder be just an empty folder?

@quantonator there is this folder but I can't open it and Terraria still crashes because it fails fetching download url

Help I added the paid folder but it still crashes!

Many people overcome this problem (still not all) by creating a folder /sdcard/Android/obb/com.and.games505.Terraria (or com.and.games505.TerrariaPaid - depends on your version) and putting obb files there that come with the game there before first run after setup.
I would post them here but i don't know if this is legal.
