When a local adventurer defeated the Brain of Cuthulu, all rejoiced, for the great parasite ridden organism called the Crimson was finally in retreat. However, some months ago rumors started that someone had built it a new, mechanical core...

Don't let the name fool you, Fallen Stars are not actualy other suns. Rather, Fallen Stars are made artificially by satilites roaming the outer reaches of the atmosphere, and droped at random times during the night. These star-making orbiters are fairly new, however, and it is a mystery as to who made them.

I always felt like the Crimson was a single living being. One that was horribly twisted and that could spread itself through the surrounding terrain - like a disease or a parasite. Rather than a force of nature like the Corruption & Hallow.

That said, why would it have a mechanical core?
