PC Journey Mode Being Almost Unplayable

I have no trouble entering journey mode, but once I've entered I'm completely stuck. The main settings don't work at all, instead just leaving the menu to go back to my world whenever I try to select anything from it. Every single time I click the screen it opens my inventory, and from there flickers between regular options and the journey mode specific 'powers'. This is also triggered by accessing things in my inventory or crafting. I can move around and whatnot but I essentially cant change the settings, leave the world without force quitting the entire game, do anything unique to journey mode or actually play without half the screen blocked off. This is for PC only as far as I'm aware, as Journey mode works fine on my mobile.

it is your controls, try changing your controls if you cant, go to the file located in documents->mygames->terraria and look for input profiles, open that and there should be some controls you can change, do that if you can't change controls from the menu

If you delete the input profiles file entirely, it'll reset the game's controls to default.

In this case, it sounds like your input profiles were set incorrectly or corrupted somehow, so I would try doing so.
