Resolved Journey mode item selection bugged

Ever since I kept pressing the item menu (the one with the 3 cubes) because it wasn't opening, suddenly it did but something strange happened.
I clicked on the item I wanted to get and it closed the interface and when I clicked off it menu it kept bringing up the journey mode interface even when I clicked literally anyway except from the menu it brought up the interface.
Then I when I clicked on the menu it was all fine until I clicked anything on the actual menu then the menu closed and brought up the journey mode interface!
What???
Not to mention, every time I clicked on an item, it drops it, please help!
I tried to verify my files but it kept failing and I tried uninstalling it then reinstalling it but that didn't work either.
Also, I know journey mode is kind of cheating, but it's awesome and I love it!
 
....... yeah sorry but I can't understand what you are saying, but also I can't quite note what was happening, and if possible (if you can get in the game at all) a video would be nice.
journey mode isn't cheating at all, it is just another mode for enjoyment.
 
I thought I was clear but I guess not and OK sure I only got an idea that it was cheating because I was in a GC on Twitter for terraria and everyone was like "why would you like journey mode? Its just loads of cheating", so I thought that but thank you. Also, I have a rubbish watermark recorder sorry.
 
okay I guess you are going to have to force the controls through the note thingy(I actually don't remember what the note thing is called) so if you go into my games folder and click onto terraria, i think that is h=where you go, and find terraria, and look for the config.json and open it then look for controls section
