How to obtain (if allowed):
The vanity set would serve as a trophy for those who defeat all 3 mechanical bosses at once and earn the Mecha Mayhem achievement, although i’m not sure if this is allowed.

Set Effects:
Wearing the full set illuminates dark areas.

Dragoon Armor Set

This set is inspired by the many dragoons from video games past. This set consists of the Dragoon Helm, Dragoon Breastplate, and Dragoon Greaves. While wearing the full set the player could leave an after image or a dust trail to help make it look like there is “faster” movement while running or jumping, the “hair” of the helm could move or sway as well. Presented here are two color variants, the first is based on the first dragon enemy players are likely to encounter, the Wyvern with it’s awesome color scheme. The second color set is there just in case there are already plans to have an armor colored like the Wyvern, I think it looks rad. The claws on the hands and feet are based on the sprites for the Tiger Climbing Gear and the Master Ninja Gear. The chest emblem is based off the sprite for the Star Veil. While they can’t be submitted with this contest, a properly recolored/dyed Fishron Wings would look lovely with either armor set. And pair the set with your lance of choice to finish the look off and I’m sure you’ll be jumping into the Journey’s End in style.

Turns out pixel art is really hard so bare with me
My submission is inspirred by H.P. Lovecrafts Great Old One "Hastur or The King in Yellow". The sketch is done by me, and the vanity includes 3 pieces.

Hood: Yellow hood with tentecles.

Body: A long yellow ripped robe.

Legs: More tentecles that replaces the players legs. They move when the player does!

I love all lovecraftian things, which is why I made this and I think it's quite fitting since Cthulhu already is a thing ( else I would have made a Cthulhu Vanity Set )

I tried making an evil-looking character to oppose the Hero's Set. You may do whatever you want with it. This is my first attempt at spriting so this sprite is not intended to be the actual vanity, it's simply idea art. He is intended to look intimidating; I call it "Villian's Set". Please separate the set into parts as you desire, it's all yours if you like it.

This is a submission a friend and I worked on. It's a Japanese cat goddess called a Nekomata. I have my friend's FULL PERMISSION to submit this. I came up with the concept and details, and she did the drawing. Here is her written permission:

I want my oc (bendy sans) to be in the contest.
You can only get it in hard mode and you reseave the peaces for the set from demons, ink slimes (underground), skeletons, and you can bye the last peace from the traveler merchant.
The set contains, a cartoon demon head (demon head+inky slime(made at the demon/crimson alters)), a cartoon black tux with long tie and vest(black tux+ink slime+vest (made only at crimson alters), cartoon black pants (same as cartoon tux but it costs 3 ink slime and black pants)
It gives you teleportation when you dash, you can telaport through solid blocks of one block thickness, you can be immune to every effect, only gives you 8 defense total but can improve with reforging to make it at most 13 defence, you take a constant 1 damage when in contact with water over time (acts the same was as if your drowning), you take fire damage from lava and can die from lava, you get twice as much mana then before (if you have the entire set)

This vanity set is based off the pillar enemies
When all three pieces are equipped the character would change colour based on the item the player is holding
Solar colours for melee weapons (the above picture is an example of what that would look like)
Vortex colours for ranger weapons
Stardust colours for summoner weapons
Nebula colours for mage weapons
When a non-weapon item or no item is held the colours of the previous item held will stay visible if no weapon item was ever held it will default to solar colours
It would have a 0.1% drop from any pillar enemy

-"Aetherial Mage"- For the sake of keeping it simple, I'll make my description brief. It is a mystic robe with gold trimmings and large blue gemstones on the chest and shoulders. These robes also include a large spike on the back for aesthetical purposes. (Not to be mistaken for wings.) As for the helmet, it includes a shiny blue visor and metal band around the head. The tip of the hat is swept back sharply and is also decorated with gold trimmings. As for legs, it is a robe, so they are obscured. It is based on the crescent phase of the moon.

I think dyes could have an interesting affect upon it and I think the colorful bits would glow and maybe make the leaves look as if they're in the wind with bits flying back if that makes sense

I have been working on a mod for a while now so I thought I would use one of my modded armors as my set

so here's my submission
I call it Space Fantasy. Based off of that one Mario Galaxy song.
On the left, I have what it would look like in game, and on the right, an awful attempt at drawing it.

Full:
- Spacesuit-ish design
- Blue/Pink theme
- Blue parts would glow, glow intensity matches the brightness of the area the player is in
- No set bonus

Helmet:
- Glass would be semi-transparent, face + some hair visible
- Lower dark blue part wouldn't always be visible, as seen with the full set
- Upper blue part
- Dark pink strap thingy on the side

Suit:
- Wings in back default to shown, but would change to whatever wings would be visible at the time.
- Without actual wings equipped, vanity wings would not do anything, obviously
- Pink "gloves"
- Blue wrists
- Blue shoulders
- Blue side "straps"
- Blue belt
- Grey arms
- Grey torso

Boots:
- Blue feet
- Grey legs
- Boots would "react" when touching the ground, depending on the speed/distance fallen depends on how intense the reaction is (reaction colour is pink)
- Reaction pink would glow just like blue

Edit: I just realized the wings might not be allowed, feel free to remove them, I don't mind.

I am not the best artist ever, but I figured I won't know how well I did unless I tried. I decided to draw a race car driver suit. Helmet, firesuit, etc. My pc was broken so I only found about this contest on the 9th of April. Perhaps you guys could host something similar to this in the future, but instead have it be a soundtrack. I would be better at that. Please consider my submission!
