Howdy everyone! I'm throwing my hat into the ring with: THE INVISIBLE SET! 🕶

The concept is a slightly gimmicky set that offers a cool effect without being too distracting. The design is simple and appeals to everyone, and its nice medium tones means if you don't like the colour you can always slap your favourite dye on it!

The Head slot consists of a floating bowler hat and sunglasses that replaces the entire head sprite.
The Torso is a simple trench coat that hides your hands. The coat extends to the Legs slot, and the inner side of the coat is visible when paired with the Invisible Legs (or any other item that masks the leg sprites like the Djinn's Curse).
The Legs is a pair of floating shoes on disembodied legs.

I always wanted to do an armor for a game, maybe now is my chance!

The thought I have behind this armor is that maybe It can be dropped from the Marcian Saucer in the Martian Event like a pilot suit that is ready for battle, or perhaps you can get in one of the pillars, from someone that fought there in that world/dimension or the armor got lost there by another civ, etc.

(I got the inspiration from some games )

Hello! I am Joroma, a Terraria enthusiast who has taken this game to heart and beaten it in many different fashions. I am really excited for the update, and am thoroughly impressed with everyone who participated! I have about three and a half thousand hours in the game, and a tiny bit of modding experience. Please enjoy this vanity that I have created (even though I was tight for time)!

Attached is the helmet, chestplate, and boots for the vanity I designed. I have no official name, but the vanity is supposed to look like a power suit of sorts that draws its power from the liquid in the tank mounted on its back. The helmet includes a respirator that allows the player to draw strength from the liquid (or gas, I guess) in a Bane-like fashion (even though it wasn't intended like this). I tried to design the chestplate and boots to appear larger and bulkier to show the power of the suit, as well.

I know you have literal thousands on entires, but I was hoping mine would at least make it to the list of honorable mentions. In honesty, I wasn't sure I was going to post it, but I was eventually convinced into such by a close friend.

Overall, the piece is called the "Mactans Makeover." It's meant to replace just about any and all accessories and attire that could be displayed other than the ones provided. (Quick note, the skin stayed as the default appears to take into account the player's skin color choice.) The top two appearances show the full vanity set, while the bottom two appearances are meant to show the tail without as long of hair and/or without the head piece. (I'm willing to admit, I didn't put another hairstyle on them because I didn't believe I had enough time.) When it comes to obtaining it, I was hoping to make it a set that was able to be crafted, yet I hadn't any specific ideas in mind. If any ideas do appear, I'd be fully willing to hear them.

For the head piece, it's called "Floofy Hair." I added in a bit more hair to hairstyle 56, alongside some canine ears (The left ear, as shown on the right, being bent) and was hoping for the chance of a hairstyle that wouldn't just be a mirror of its other side. Mainly because I haven't seen a hairstyle that wasn't of that nature as of yet. For the torso, it's called the "Soft Oversized Sweater." It's just a sweater with a single stripe and longer sleeves than normal. For the pants, they're called "Soft Sweats With Floof". They're grey sweatpants accompanied by a purple tail that gradually becomes lighter in shade as it continues.

Final note, if this does somehow manage to get picked, I'm willing to hear any and all suggestions of edits for it that could be made. The program I used was Fire Alpaca.

Also that you Re-Logic for allowing us to do this, on my steam account Muffin_Named_McGuffin I have 3,707 hours and am still playing. I am glad you made this game, thank for the fun ride.

I have no artistic talent but I thought this would be funny to make. Also sorry if someone already made something like this but I wasn't about to scroll through 360 pages of stuff to confirm that. So sorry if I totally copied someone.

This is the planetary helmet/mask and it would probably be a standalone helmet but I have ideas for other pieces. I didn't have time to make all the planets but the real helmet would have them all. It's just a joke piece that's supposed to like you are wearing a third graders solar system model.

Forgive the beautiful ms paint rendering but here it is.

I don't know if it looks better to show the players face but if not then there is this version.

Its supposed to look like a solar system model sort of in which the players face is the sun. This is why there are those metal things holding the planets on.

My idea is that the planets would slowly orbit the player when idle and orbit faster if the player sprint.

Also the shoulder part may need to be fixed but whatever...

Tool tip would be something like "My Very Excellent Merchant Just Sold Us Nine Platinum" or some variation of that acronym i'm not creative.

The chest piece would probably have some asteroids orbiting around it if there is a chestplate. I don't know if it has to be three pieces but if so then darn.

(Wasn't too sure about the color; could go darker. Tried to make it look "wispy-ish" with the flowing, spectre feather and longer, flowing ends of the coat.)

This is a tardigrade suit. Animation of the eight arms/feet when jumping would be super cool.

The idea behind this set is it changes it's color based on highest DPS count, considering everything in the inventory. The 4 celestial dyes override this condition if applied.
However, if this gimmick for the set isn't allowed. I'd simply like the colors for the design to be the Nebula set (Purple+ Gold).

Here's My Vanity Set: The Sandwich/Dagwood Set!

Based on the giant sandwiches of Blondies comics, my Vanity set is essentially becoming a giant sandwich. Each vanity set would be 1 3rd of the sandwich with the pieces starting/ending with bread in case anyone wants to use only part of the set!

Here is my vanity submission! The Bloodshell set.
It is strongly inspired by the Blood Nautilus's design. Perhaps it drops from/is crafted with an item from the Blood Nautilus.

The Bloodshell Visor fits in the helmet slot, and looks like the user is wearing a nautilus's shell, with the "flap" that covers the top of a nautilus's head.
The Bloodshell Breastplate fits in the chest slot, and makes the wearer's arm look like they are a pair of tentacles. It is made of the scale-like structure seen on the underside of the Blood Nautilus. There is an eye staring at you from the center...
The Writhing Tentacles go in the leg slot, and give the wearer a myriad of dark-red tentacles. They squirm as the wearer walks.

I hope you like it! I spent a decent amount of time trying to get the sprite right to Terraria's proportions.

I made a dark astronaut set. While its not completely innovative, I still think it could be added to the game. could also change with different lunar event pillars, but i'm just spitballing ideas. Thank you for considering my entry. (armour doesnt have to be black, and i believe a dark purple might be a good fit)

Here's a drawing I made for the basis of my vanity submission.
The Head consists of a wizard-like hat with the top cut off and in its place a metal rim where fire bursts out. Along with the head goes a jesters/theatre mask.
The Torso consists of a dark long coat with a fire faded shirt with straps running along the front of the shirt and the cuffs of the coat.
The Legs start with a belt followed by another dark fabric to some larger straps around the middle down to wrapping with a flame-colored gradient.

I'm new to it, but here's some pixel art of what I think it could look like in-game. (also a maskless variant just because)

Wow... It was such a great journey!

This game has always been very important to me... It's always been a tradition among my friends to play it every summer, and think that his final update has come... It makes me feel nostalgic and happy at the same time for a new update, but well, part of the journey is the end.

The Abyss

Before creation itself there was a elemental power called "The Abyss" this power also known as a curse as the universe was forming was responsible for corrupting small areas of each world throughout the galaxy. The Abyss invites creatures to succumb to it and then infect others until that world is completely consumed, all of this continued till a ancient wizard saw all of the catastrophe this was generating and decided to seal the curse in the armour. Even to this day the armour still awaits in a little dark zone for its wielder to appear... Legends say that only those with a strong will can endure the darkness of the abyss.

Abyss Armour
The complete set gives a boost in damage and speed. -Melee Armour

-Dark Abyss Helmet: It has long horns to defend against threats and a retractable plasma glass that reconstructs itself thanks to the power of the abyss every time it is damaged.
-Dark Abyss Chest Plate: The heart in its center sucks the energy of its wielder or provides it its own curse depends on whether its wielder is worthy.
-Dark Abyss Legs: Ripped pants and boots protected by sturdy plates.

CYBERPUNK ARMOR!

In a post-Moon Lord world, there's still work left to do. Why not look fly when you're cruising the skies?

I personally figured this'd fit with endgame, and seeing as how this update is the future of Terraria!

Ended up not finding enough time to finish what I was planning! I was building the vanity set into a fully functional mod, but life just got in the way and I lost the time.

Still had time to whip up a nifty glow mask though!

Thanks for holding this contest! If this doesn't get in, I'll be finishing and putting it up on tModLoader myself. Maybe I'll make a few others, too. This is pretty fun.

Here's my quick submission, which is a grass suit that will entail little movement effects when walking and running. Slightly see through or could be fully enclosed. Could be found in the jungle biome in a chest, mob drop, or maybe from a boss. Who does not love to blend in with nature?
