Just Finished Farming the Martian Invasion...

From the very start, the only thing I wanted was the Cosmic Car Key- I killed the Martian Saucer until it dropped... According to the Terraria Wiki the Cosmic Car Key has the same drop rate as every other item the Martian Saucer drops (Exception of Health Potions/Martian Saucer Trophy)... I'm very unlucky Lol.

I'm still farming it... trying to get the Brain Scrambler item from the Scutlix Rider. 1% drop from them... but that Scutlix Mount with laser eyes seems awesome.

Cosmic Car Key was one of the first things I got from a Martian Saucer.

I didn't get an Influx Waver until much later.

first i got one invasion playing with friend, he got a cosmic car key and i didn't, 2 invasions later, no key, and then i got a fourth invasion, 3 keys. a bit later i got another invasion and from that i got another key. all of this happend on 1 day

So, your 29th item was the keys. Each item has a 1/9 drop chance, so there was a 3.7% (.88888^28) chance that you wouldn't get it in 28 kills, so you are pretty darn unlucky lol.

After about 10-15 tries I got lots of Influx Wavers, Xenopoppers and all the other weapons, but not a single Laser Drill/hook/Cosmic Car Key (which was specifically what I was looking for).

they're more common in space. Use water candle/battle potion, as usual, to up spawn rates.

I think a patch made them rare in the center of the map. I went to the edge of my world and got one pretty quick.

Yeah, they arent supposed to spawn in the middle 1/3rd of the world.

Funny, I killed it around 16 times, and I got 8 or so car keys. I still don't have a blaster cannon, an Influx waver, or an xenopopper.

Didn't get it so far. Usually I was getting tons of Xenopoppers, Influx Wavers and those magnetic launchers. For some reason I haven't tried to farm it more.
