@Tunnel King "We attempted to do a normal update of the base forum software in March 2016 (three years ago), and the Social Group feature prevented that from being successful. Since that time, we have been able to do a few critical security updates..." -Tunnel King
So for 3 years the forum was vulnerable to attacks from malware and viruses?! :merchanteek:

No, the forum has been safe enough up to now.

It's more the features have started acting weird or breaking down and they can't be readily patched any longer.

*** NOTE ****

The recent changes with Wiki image links are not related to this forum. We realize that some references to images there are now broken. Content authors will have to resolve these changes themselves.
I just wanted to point this out.

Apparently the folks over at the Official Wiki recently made some sort of global change that affects links to images there. This was not our doing and is not part of the other recent issues here, it's just coincidental that it happened about the same time.

As you all may have noticed from the top-of-page banner notice, we're doing some maintenance and upgrading tomorrow (Friday April 5 2019). This will fix most of the current issues we've been having and talking about in this thread.

We don't anticipate being down that entire 6-hour window of time; we hope to keep it at a minimum and be back better than before. We've been able to test the upgrades on a backup system and we're highly confident that we're going to be successful this time around.

I'll try to put up a new notice ~15-30 minutes before starting, so that you'll know when to wind up your activities while we take care of this.
