Welcome to project Lacuna. Our vision is to take simple concepts that exist already amongst other mods and the vanilla game, and put a unique spin on them. We want to design something that is memorable not because of sheer mass of content, but rather because of quality and execution.
We need help. Bellow are some things that we need help with. Even if you don’t feel you can help but know someone who can then please send us a message so we can try to get in contact with them. If you can help in a way that is not listed bellow then send me a message and we can talk about it.
- General coder - Someone who can do general stuff like add weapons, armor, and basic enemies into the game.
- Advanced coder - Someone who can design boss AIs, world gen, and other complex stuff.
- Spriter - Someone who can help take some stress off of our lead spriter.
- Animator - Animate things based off of a still designed by one of the spriters.
Currently we have a small batch of sprites and concepts, with little actual implementation. Most stats and behaviors in this section are subject to change based on balancing.

Fuseglass is a tier intended to be slightly below evil tier items, with weapons being usable to kill evil tier bosses, and offering an alternative ranger armor set, along with niche tools that can remain useful throughout pre-hardmode.

The Necrocatalyst tier is intended to be an expansion upon the dungeon tier of items, being viable throughout late pre-hardmode and into hell.

The purified tier is intended to be a small upgrade to the molten tier with some additional effects and unique abilities, without being significantly more powerful than molten gear.

A towering fortress off in the distance...
What lies deep below the sands?
A small region of the underground desert seems to have had it's sands melted and fused into hard, glass crystals. the strange burst of heat seems to have affected the life here too, causing them to grow crystal growths and become even more hostile... Some attribute the strange blast of heat to a rouge rift, but certainly not one leading to the lacuna plane...

A towering fortress off in the distance...
The castle is a large generated structure that appears beyond the jungle on the jungle side of the world. It consists of a set of randomly-generated floors and set-generation rooms for bosses and the entrance. Currently the castle is planned to have a pre-hardmode section on the lower half, ending with a boss fight, and a hardmode section on the upper half with a miniboss and bossfight at the summit.

Strange tears in the fabric of reality seem to open at random throughout the surface... bringing creatures from another world into ours, along with their powerful energies...
The melded parasite...
The Fused Guardian is a large worm boss, made of fuseglass and sandstone, who guards the precious fuseglass ore of the fused desert. Most believe that it was created when a rouge rift opened in the desert and fused the sands to crystal and glass. This beast casts a magical seal on the ore here, and can be summoned with the joined fossils of many creatures which were preserved when the sands melted together.

Summon: Fossil Array in Underground Desert
Behavior: Worm-like AI, 2 second fast phase where it veers away from the player, 10-15 second phase of shooting projectiles and moving slowly, Attempts to encircle the player(s). Splits into 2 at half HP, with each segment taking half of the remaining HP.
Moves faster in slow phase and projectiles fly faster.

-head: 25/30

- 1 of 3 weapons (Crystal Fang, Crystal Chains, or Crystal Sheen)

Summon: Fossil Array in Underground Desert
Behavior: Worm-like AI, 2 second fast phase where it veers away from the player, 10-15 second phase of shooting projectiles and moving slowly, Attempts to encircle the player(s). Splits into 2 at half HP, with each segment taking half of the remaining HP.
Moves faster in slow phase and projectiles fly faster.
Cursed keeper of the castle...
A mysterious stone construct lies dormant within the central floors of the castle, myths have spread about it being a prison of sorts for a "prime fused"...
Stats:
HP: 8000/9000
Damage:
-Slash attack: 30/35
-Charge: 80/100
-Energy spike: 45/55
-Contact: 20/25
-Beams: 70/90
Drops:
Summon: Naturally spawns on entering his arena in the castle, Cannot be re-summoned
Behavior:
Summons a barrier on each side of the arena that knocks the player back if they hit it
Picks one of these attacks randomly after a 1-3 second cooldown:
-Simple 2-slash combo (Up and then down)
-Charge from one side of the arena to the other
-Faces forward for a second, and creates energy spikes from the ground (Telegraphed by a ! above the affected area)
-Attempts to walk towards the player and deal contact damage
At 75% and 25% HP the sword will float on its own(own entity, neither can be damaged during this time) and fire beams at the player for 15 and 25 seconds respectively
Attacks faster (0.5-2 second cool-down between attacks), side barriers deal damage, Charge attack goes back and forth, beam attack also fires a 3-spread rather than a single beam
