Empress of Light
Now, this is a warning for all of you who don't like to read. This may or may not be a long thread. Also, no sprites. I don't feeling like spriting today. If you wish not to read, then I suggest leaving now and not complaining to me later.
Alright, let's get this started, shall we?
Have you ever wondered what powers the mech bosses? I mean, they're mechanical, right? Something's gotta be powering them! Now, every time you defeat a mech boss, it drops a Fuel Canister. No chance. Always does, because it's needed for almost everything. Useless by itself, but it can be placed as a decoration. Now, save onto those, because they'll be useful in the future. You need Shroomite Bars next. And let's not forget some Souls of Flight, eh?
Now, stock up on those Shroomite Bars and Souls of Flight, because you need 20 bars and 25 souls, as well as two Fuel Canisters to craft the Mech Wings.
"But wait, you can't craft them! When you take them to a Mythril/Orichalcum Anvil, no new crafting recipes show up!"
Oh, right, I forgot! You need a new crafting station to make it! You'll need an extra Fuel Canister, as well as three new boss drops, also from mech bosses! You'll need Scrap, which drops from all three mech bosses, as well as a Mechanical Lens, a Mechanical Tooth, and a Mechanical Bone! (If possible, stock on a few of each of these, k?)
Every time you destroy a mech boss, it has a 100% chance of dropping anywhere from 5 to 10 scrap. You only need 15 scrap to make the new crafting station, so you should have some left over. The Mechanical Lens, Mechanical Tooth, and Mechanical Bone all have a 40% of dropping from the respective bosses. (Don't know what goes where? Use your brain!
)
Now, take 15 scrap, one of each of the mechanical items, and a Fuel Canister to a hardmode anvil, and put them together into a Mechanical Workstation. Remember the Mech Wings? You take em here to craft them. This is also where all of the fun starts. (All stats of all crafted items will be located at the very bottom of the page)
When you destroy Golem, a new ore spawns underground. It acts similar to Chlorophyte, where it regrows, but it only grows at a rate of 1:5 compared to normal Chlorophyte. Also, it's not limited to the jungle. Quite a bit of it spawns every time you kill Golem, so you can have quite a bit of this new ore at the end of all this.
The new ore is called Machinalcum (Mah-Ken-Al-Kum) You need to combine four Machinalcum ore with a single piece of scrap to make Machinalite Bars (Mah-Ken-Al-Eyet). Machinalite Bars will be very important, as all recipes from here on out will require Machinalite. (God that's so hard to type.)
At the very least, you can combine a single piece of Machinalcum Ore with 50 stone to make 25 Machinalcum Bricks, which look very futuristic.
Well, you may be wondering, "Wel, daz cul, but weres da wepuns? An armor! Weres all dat crap?" Just be patient. I'm getting there.
Next up is the weapons group. Just a warning, that these require quite a few resources in order to craft all of the crap in here. First up is the Machinalite Sword.Take 10 Machinalite Bars, with about 10 Scrap and about 5 Souls of Light and Night to make the sword. (As I said, the stats will be at the very, very bottom.) Now, take some of those Machinalite Bars, with some more scrap, and make yourself a chainsaw! About 9 Machinalite Bars and 8 Scrap will do! You can also make a drill with the exact same amount of resources!
Now, the armor's a bit tricky to craft. You will need 18 Machinalite bars for the helmet, as well as 100 wire, and a Night Vision potion or whatever the hell the name of it is. 20 Machinalite Bars are needed for the body, as well as 150 Wires, and 15 Machinalite Bars and 75 Wire for the boots. You will also need 5 Shroomite for each of these, and a Power Core for the chest. Now, you may be wondering, "What da hell iz a powa cor?!" Patience, Young Padawan, it will all be revealed soon.
The Power Core is crafted from 15 Scrap, 250 Gel, 50 Crystal Shards, a Fuel Canister, 50 Wire, a Lava Bucket and 15 Hellstone Bars. Did I mention that all of this needs to be done at the Mechanical Workstation?
Last but not least is the thing that made me start this thread. You need one Mechanical Lens, four Mechanical Bones, and two Mechanical Teeth! You'll also need another Power Core, 410 Wire, around 70 Machinalite Bars, 15 Shroomite Bars, 50 Glass, and a Jetpack. Can you guess where this is going?
At the Mechanical Workstation, you'll need to craft a Mech Shop, which only takes 5 Machinalite Bars, and about 10 Wire. Now, place that thing in an open area, will ya? Now, use 20 Machinalite Bars, 125 Wire, 5 Shroomite Bars, a Mechanical Lens and those 50 Glass to make a Mechanical Cockpit. Use 15 Machinalite Bars, 75 Wire, 5 Shroomite Bars, two Mechanical Bones, two Mechanical Teeth, and that Jetpack to make the Mechanical Legs. Use the rest of your materials to make the Mechanical Body.
Now, you have a Mechanical body, a Mechanical cockpit, and Mechanical Legs. You can do one of three things with these items.
1) You can grab two Megasharks and a Rocket Launcher, and combine them with the mech parts at the Mech Shop to make a Combat Mecha.
2) You can also take a Machinalite Drill and a Machinalite Chainsaw and combine everything to make a Resource Mecha.
3) If those two don't interest you, you can take those Mech Wings, along with a Machinalite Sword and slap em onto the rest of the Mech to make a Scout Mecha.
Details will be at the bottom with everything else.

Combat Mecha
- Can take 200 hits before you are ejected out of it. If below 25 hits remaining, regenerates back to 25. Will only regenerate while out of combat. To be designated as out of combat, you must not attack or be attacked for at least 10 seconds.
- Can only use for a maximum of 5 real life minutes before you are ejected out of it.
- Must wait a whole Terraria day before you can use again, to simulate the mecha cooling down from use.
- Limited jumping, must hold down jump for a jetpack boost.
- Using weapons causes cooldown. Using weapons too much disables weapons for ~10 seconds
Mecha Gatling Gun
Damage: 10 per bullet
Use Time: Insanely Fast.
Left Mouse Button fires one Gatling Gun, Right Mouse Button fires the other. Seperate Cooldowns, can only shoot one at a time.
Mecha Rocket Launcher
Damage: 75
Use Time: Very Slow
Does not destroy blocks. Has a large blast radius.
Resource Mecha
- Can last 250 hits before you are ejected out of it.
- Can last 5 minutes before you are ejected out of it.
- Has no weapons to defend itself with.
- Is the only Mecha that can collect resources. The other two pass over them.
- Is a faster then the Combat Mecha.
- Has an enchanced Jetpack for jumping higher.
Scout Mecha
- Can last 175 hits before being ejected out of it.
- Can last 5 minutes before being ejected out of it.
- Is the only Mecha with wings. You still have to charge the jump, but the wings allow brief flight. Flight starts out slow, but the longer you continue flying, the faster you fly.(Credit for this idea goes to SilverBird. Give him a round of applause!)
- Only defense is a (somewhat decent) Machinalite sword.
- Is the fastest of the three.
If you stuck with me for this long, I thank you for taking your time to read all of this. I hope you enjoy, and leave feedback!
