Biomes & Nature let plants be placed in front of walls

I'm pretty sure your able to place strange plants in front of walls, not sure why some plants need the wall behind them to be broken ( maybe it could because the need a bit of light?)

I'm not sure about strange plants, but I know for a fact that I have to break the wall behind dye plants
