Game Mechanics Let's hear your best suggestions for seed combinations!

As you all might know by now, we are adding a new special seed selection menu that will allow you to combine the special seeds of your choosing.

Along with this change, we will be introducing special effects when you make specific combinations. We already have quite a few in-game, but now I want to hear from you! What are your best ideas for what these combined effects could be? A small example of what we have done so far is combining "The Constant" with "Celebrationmk10," which will start the player out in the center of the world again, while retaining most of the effects from "Celebrationmk10."

I'm looking specifically for changes to world generation and in-game mechanical changes, not extravagant additions like new bosses or overly complicated new items.

Get fixed boi + ftw seed should max out spawn rates. You know, make the game almost impossible to play
 
Suggestion for new players:
Something that lets news players experience everything the game has to offer, all in one map.

Seed Name: EasyMode
  1. Both sets of ores are present.
  2. Allveins of ore are twice as large.
    • Sometimes they're tremendous.
  3. Both Corruption and Crimson are represented somewhere.
  4. A small pre-made house with an anvil, workbench, and forge spawns near the player. There's also a small garden with pots and planters and a bottle for crafting.
  5. There are more Marble, Granite, and Spider Biomes. Mushroom Biomes are larger.
  6. There's always a clear path to the Underground Desert. (It's not buried in sand or anything.)
  7. There are many, many more Underground Desert chests. They're often very hard to find and rare - So rare that sometimes people think there's just nothing down there.
  8. There are five times as many Sword Shrines, with a guarantee that one of them will be the TerraGrim.
  9. The Party Girl only requires four NPCs to be present in the world.
  10. All enemies only do 75% of the damage they would have done.
  11. Bosses have 50% of their health. The Pillars require 50% of the kills to lower their respective shield.
  12. The Wall of Flesh moves at half the speed and has half the Hungers.
  13. The player spawns with an item that halves all damage they do, but triples their health regeneration and defense. It's great for exploration.
  14. There are small doodads that spawn in late HardMode that when destroyed, summons a Martian Probe. This is so the player at least knows they exist, and can then interact with them however they feel the need to.
 
The Constant + Celebration = Instead of Constant shader, there is psychedelic LSD-trip shader: the screen constantly changes colors like Rainbow-rarity items or rainbow bricks. (Epilepsy warning!)

Drunk World + Celebration = All enemies (including bosses) aren't harmful to the players and even can't target them (they just walk or fly around like critters). Brings peace to everycreature!

No traps + Drunk world = All town NPCs swap their names with random town NPC with other gender. Ex. Dryad can get random name from Guide, Merchant, Angler etc., while Tax Collector can get from Dryad, Party Girl etc.
 
if you combine drunk and celebration you should be able to get luminite hammers and axes separately by throwing them in shimmer. (or maybe just do it for normal world as well).
 
No more traps + not the bees should have a significant increase in the amount of boulders that generate. It could be called "not the boulders".
 
A setting that add a lot of generated man-made medium-size (20-40+ in each dimension) buildings/ruin/house scattering around the world.

There are already some small house/shrines, but I really love to see more of them, especially bigger ones.

I have seen some cool building from TERRARIA MEDIA SPOTLIGHT or beta testers in official posts.
Some are even in official trailer. I really love to see them in game.

That way, I can easily show off better initial screenshot of this game to my friend to persuade them to play.

The buildings need to have a lot of diversity (can hardcode), but don't have to contain chests.
They should be a "real" building that match well with environment/biome, prefer to have actual entrance, and not try-to-be pixel arts of something.

Their main purpose is cosmetic and add sense of discovery to game.

Edit :
  1. Also an underwater world, or a world that has the threatening true-rain, or a world of which seal-level is rising, because I love to suffer.
  2. A "don't dig right" world.

[First combo] Alright, hear me out, and try to STICK with me here as I have a few ideas, and will only be getting more as time goes on (heh pun)
"Not The Bees" + "CelebrationMK10" = party bees, aka bees (and maybe even the queen bee herself) that could randomly spawn during a party and explode into confetti when killed. (this bit is optional, as is the rest, but I thought this would be funny}-> possibly dropping a version of the "land mine" but instead, it explodes into either A) confetti or B)BEES!
[Second combo] "for the worthy"/"getfixedboi" + "not the bees" = "worthy bees" aka. All bees have ten times their hp, and deal double if not triple their base damage. JUST GOT AN IDEA AT 5:23 IN THE MORNING WHILE WRITING THIS! BEE BOULDER similar to the bee hive found HANGING around the jungle except bee boulder spawns ten times the bees, just wanted this combo to be a really un-bee-lievably annoying seed
[Third combo] Drunk+CelebrationMK10= you get tavernkeep instead of party girls, enemies (possibly) deal double damage, yet are (slightly) easier to kill

I'm out of ideas at this point, BUT I SHALL RETURN WITH MORE!
 
Celebrationmk10 can cause certain bodies of liquid to be replaced with shimmer, depending on what you pair it with.
For example, with don't dig up, it can replace surface lakes. With nothing else, ocean can be replaced with shimmer.

Another one involving liquids: On Drunk worlds:

1. Lava gets replaced by shimmer
2. Honey gets replaced by water
3. Shimmer gets replaced by honey
4. Water gets replaced by lava

So random idea, in the zenith seed please make some of the traps like tnt , boulders, darts, have echo coating

if No traps and not the bees are combined, please let it spawn temple traps

in the zenith seed make it so that every day there is a chance to obtain a random debuff that lasts for an entire day

making zenith seed (getfixedboi) almost impossible to complete in hardcore would benefit for its longevityy once you guys decide to move on after 1.9 update *wink* *wink* *nudge* *nudge*
 
Anything + The constant SHOULD NOT have the ugly yellow filter PLEASE

Drunk world + dont dig should have a starting spawnpoint on a super small island in the middle of a huge pool of lava in the underworld, since drunk world don't have any structure in the middle. So the start of the game should be something like a "sky island" but "hell island"

I wonder how these combinations affect starting NPCs. I would love a world with Steampunker and Cyborg to start using logic gates + echo building. Could be a For the worthy + no traps thing.

Not the bees! + For the worthy includes honey and bees spawning off of pots and surface honey; it also includes a giant beehive made of crispy honey and hive blocks replacing the underworld...

Should have a secret boss called wall of honey. Its like wall of flesh but immune to bees and coughs out bee grenades that attack the player to get its own back on all the times it has been killed by bees.
 
The Constant + For The Worthy
Bosses drop red potions, and red potions are the only source of food buffs (you need to drink them to not starve)

The Constant + Don't Dig Up
Don't Dig Up's underground forests are replaced by spider nests

Not The Bees + No Traps
Bee larva boulders, and queen bee doesn't despawn if you die

Don't Dig Up + Drunk + Celebration + For The Worthy = Hellblock challenge.

You start on a small island of ash in Hell, surrounded by an ocean of lava. There's a small pool of shimmer on the island. There's nothing above you. The starting NPC is the dryad so you can get seeds and acorns. Good luck!
 
Make for the worthy increase the spawn chance of mech bosses

The constant and don't dig up should make the underworld freeze over and be come a snow underworld
When hell freezes over is true now
 
Being able to save the NPC’s that spawn in getfixedboi.
 
Not The Bees + No Traps = opening deadman's chests, shaking any tree, killing any mob or npc can and will spawn bunch of hostile bees

I think it would be funny if you combined for the worthy and no traps and it would make the NPCs attack you
