OOC Limbo. (OOC)

Limbo, as of May 26th, 2025, has become 2-threaded.
Here is where you will discuss OOC. Please move any current OOC discussions here.
Anyways, Limbo intro for those who don't know!
You awaken, in an endless earth.
Originally, it would have been just grasslands, but since this RP has begun, new biomes have been created, being the Corruption, Crimson, Hallow, Astral Infection, and Snow.
The sun lays overhead, never dimming, brightening, or moving.
Occasionally it becomes the moon, and can have phases, but doesn't move.
Eclipses can happen, but they're harmless.
Natural animals found IRL can be found everywhere, even if the grasslands isn't their natural habitat.
Now, Make your OCs!
Join limbo, which is basically crack on crack!
No god modding.
Combat uses a D20 format, similar to other roleplays. However, you can request to change your dice format at any time (Min 5 Max 120)
No insanely overpowered characters.
Follow TCF rules.
Don't cheat in combat, it'll ruin the fun.
Don't make OCs specifically as an addon to another OC.
You can have as many OCs as you can handle.
Have fun! (I specifically demand it)

At any point, in underground/hidden areas, the DM/people entrusted with the ability to summon chests can make your character find one. The loot tends to be useful, with certain items being rarer than others. I may or may not make a table of items, their usage & their "rarity".
Whilst underground, you're very likely to find ores. The DM/people entrusted with the ability to summon ores can make your character find one. They all have different names and abilities, and to find out about that, you must find a Geologist's Guide to Rocks (Either a normal or the rarer "limited edition" variant), which is common loot from chests. Usually it'll be in the first chest someone without one finds whilst underground, as I only made it as an IC way for the names/uses of the ores to be discovered.
Rooted Corruption is an infection of sorts that can take control of most sentient beings, essentially possessing them and making them act more aggressively and attempt to corrupt other beings around them when possible. It mainly spreads through projectiles (Primarily magic projectiles), but has other ways to corrupt as well, the most common being a spike of pure corrupted energy. These hurt really badly if the target is immune to the corruption.

Known cures are, among others, special materials when used for weapons, fully upgraded Light Magic (Radiant Magic), and a water imbuement given by Falchion.
Temporary cures (mostly used for stalling until a proper cure is available) include the other forms of light magic (Standard, Crystalized, and Mirage), the Hallow’s power, and Fairy-type Pokémon moves. Technically it’s possible to resist the corruption’s effects, but this should always be done carefully to avoid losing control of one’s actions entirely until cured.

It is not related to Terraria’s corruption biome. It hates being associated with the corruption and considers it pathetic.

There’s a central hivemind that gives out orders when needed, and each corrupted being has its own thoughts and can communicate with the victim’s own mind.

Corrupted areas seem to be completely dark all the time, like a Minecraft lighting bug hit the area.

OOC: Players can choose to make their characters immune if they wish to do so, just know that corrupted attacks will deal increased damage if they choose the option.
It’s recommended to have a slightly different text color while corrupted, it’s the player’s choice whether to make it lighter or darker than their usual color. (Personally I lighten it when possible, only darkening if the usual color is already bright.)

Permission is to be asked before infecting or curing, to account for possible plans a player may have involving a character being corrupted at a specific time/for a specific amount of time.
It's fine to have a character auto-dodge attacks that would corrupt or cure at the wrong time. Just state why the roll is being skipped.

On corruption, a roll for resistance can be made (recommended with D20). At a 1, the victim is in no way capable of even influencing their actions while corrupted. At a 20, it’s the other way around and the corruption can’t do anything.
They function the same as they do in Terraria except they do not spread.
Terraria bosses will not be able to spawn. Break as many shadow orbs as you want but no EoW
Gelatin crystals can be found but they're useless
Enemies there have set health and are spawned by DMS.
@Old Master Rope God🌳 controls the Astral infection for I do not play modded.
Rope, if I missed anything, tell me.
Additional DMs: @The Rope Lord🌳 , @Clockwork17

You should add more to the mechanics section. theres a lot of unexplained stuff, like the evil biomes.

Thank you for telling me.

Please bring back the OC list by forcing people to resubmit their OCs… thereby purging tons of unused OCs and fluff

Edit: AND ALSO SERVING TO UPDATE THEIR OCS

This is a great idea

Maybe show the health of the enemies.

If we intend to continue boss / combat encounters as well that have out-of-RP-Planning, perhaps an “upcoming bosses / events” list would be nice too? Doesn’t need a template, just sort of simplifies who’s planning on doing what to reduce bloat and overlap.

That could ruin stuff meant as a surprise to the rest.

I can't because my computer is too slow to handle it.
If you want an OC list, I'll happily let you make it yourself.

...
Alright, fine.
Everyone, hand me your current in use/planned to be in use OC's applications.
I'm rebuilding the list.

Name: Chis
Nicknames (Optional): Chissy, Paist
Gender: Female.
Text Color: #bea893
Appearance:
Chis-1.png (4).png

Personality: Very kind and sweet! (Pun intended.) Gets very irritated in the rain. Equipment (Optional): Just a bunch of sweets!
Theme (Optional):
Backstory (Optional): Made in a failed experiment at a pastry shop. Other than that, they don't really have one.
Abilities: Can summon pastries, and candies, and can use them to make weapons.
Strengths: Shell is hard to break, They won't ever starve, and they can attract others to them thanks to their scent.
Height: 5'4
Weight: 96.3 lbs (43.68 kg)
Exploitable flaws: Could be eaten, due to their scent they can't hide, and they aren't very fast.
Extras (Optional): They hate licorice and broccoli.
Name: Stephanie Bennett
Nicknames (Optional): The Therian, Volunteer Zero, Gigi
Gender: Female
Text Color: #Be4bff, Bold.
Appearance:
The Therian-1.png (1).png

The Therian True-1.png.png
Personality: Extremely rude towards ANYTHING human. Even violent. She hates humans with a passion, even though she is a human, due to what they did to her & her friends. She does have mood swings, however, usually she's always ticked off/pissed off anyway, so these are rare. Also, she more than likely considers everyone here to be stupid.
Equipment (Optional): Empty syringes & test tubes. She appears to know chemistry.
Theme (Optional):
Backstory (Optional): Going to have to check with a moderator first to see if it's okay to share. It explains their actions, but it's not needed. For now, just know it's sad.
Abilities: Rather strong. Can probably pick up and throw any human here with ease. The heaviest they can lift is 375. They also tend to be very aware and rather intelligent & logical. She does have plans to create a weird injection, which will allow her to finally shed off her humanity. This new form, dubbed: "Humanity's lethal dose", gives her a few more powers:
1. Flight (albeit weak). It will require a running start, and isn't much faster than running. It also requires a lot of energy, so it can't be done for too long.
2. Being venomous. Their blood will become a weird venom capable of making you ill. It's not much stronger than a brown recluse bite.
3. Being even stronger. Instead of lifting 375 max, she can lift 600 max.
Strengths: Strength, logic.
Height: 10 foot 9 (3.2766 meters)
Weight: Surprisingly, only 200 pounds. Shows how skinny they actually are.
Exploitable flaws: Their attitude makes them hard to work with, making it where if she need help, it'll be hard to get it. They are strong physically, but they are not the strongest defensively. In her current form, she's just as defensively strong as a human, in fact, she's slightly less defensive due to there being less fat & stiffer, smaller muscles. and in her "Humanity's lethal dose" form, her heart is RIGHT THERE. it is exposed. One good stab can kill her. She's nowhere near the fastest, and she has an incredibly high metabolism, leading to her needing more food.
Extras (Optional): She's from the same universe as Chis. And they know each other. Whilst Chis doesn't know much about her, The Therian knows a little too much about Chis. It's almost as if she's been stalking her.
She does not feel anything in her knees. Nothing. No pain, no pressure, no temperature... Nothing. it's as if it's not even there. She can move them perfectly fine, though.
Name: Irene Smith/Bennett
Nicknames (Optional): The Enchanted Ruler, Bane Of Omega Death, Princess of The Rapture, Dr. Fuzzkins (The nickname that normally only The Therian gives her)
Gender: Female
Text Color: #9e39d8, Bold
Appearance:

Irene Smith-1.png (1).png

Personality: Kind, friendly, overall just a cute little gremlin.
Can be a troublemaker, and can be an :red:, but she is overall a great person.
Equipment (Optional): A box of art supplies, some paper, a game boy color with a copy of Pokemon Silver in it, a royal red hyperlaser-uzi, a royal red armored vest, and a royal red excalibur-like sword which burns anyone it deems unworthy.
Theme (Optional): Protocol (Undertale Yellow), Apprehension (Undertale Yellow)
Backstory (Optional): After The Therian got onto the omniversal travel ship both Scientists Liam Smith & Marissa Smith, two cousins built, in hopes of finding a world without humans, The Therian witnessed what the humans of "Omniverse 1" did to them. The Therian, of course, rebuilt the necessary parts of the ship, and found one survivor of the explosion, Liam Smith's daughter, Irene Smith, in the rubble. Nobody would've known if The Therian decided to just end the infants misery, but she didn't. Seeing herself in Irene, she chose to adopt her and take her under her own wing. The Therian told her everything the moment she became old enough to remember, not a word changed. Humans took everything from Irene, just like they had taken everything from Stephanie.
Abilities: Extreme intelligence and due to her youth, can easily convince people not to hurt her & abuse their morality. She also knows how to work and build various machinery.
Strengths: Intelligence & Youth
Height: 3'4 (40 Inches) (1.016 meters)
Weight: 52 lbs/23.5868 kg (Without armor), 78 lbs/35.3802 kg (With armor)
Exploitable flaws: Height & Physical strength.
Extras (Optional): She is only 8 years old.
If you check my OC list, you'd be able to see that Liam Smith & Marissa Smith are known as Big Brother Vision/Little Cousin Contact, who are essentially the entire reason why the Bow-Eye universe exists.
Her favorite food is mozzarella sticks.

:red:, now I need to move the masterpost...

I can copy paste it for you, Esther
