OOC Limbo. (OOC)

...Look.
I'll reset it but ONLY if everyone's on board, and before that reset happens, I want the Tethin Chis marriage to happen at least, so I can probably convince Creeper to move Tethin to another RP with Chis so that can continue there and that won't have to be reset.
For the whole "reset" thing, I actually do have several ways we could have this happen canonically. But that doesn't matter right now.
I'm also not on board for a reset. If we reset, who all will benefit? Can we invite new members to join?
I still think we can ride this out, each story has it's ups, which we've always had, and downs, which we're currently experiencing.
I have faith this thing will still be beautiful if we keep going, despite the mistakes we've made.

Just make a new thread...

To all who disagree, I beg you to consider the current state of Limbo. Not even me, Rope, Cobalt, and Aster’s grand design worked to get it together.

And to Esther, I seriously don’t mean to pressure you or push you away, but in a way, Limbo has fallen into a Limbo (at least in my POV), wouldn’t it be better to improve Limbo based on what we learned from this iteration?

Like I said, at best this would cause severe delays in several projects while I need to move characters like Dusk and Ality to a logical place in my lore where they could reasonably debut. This includes delaying work on Mysteries (which I'm SO DAMN CLOSE to being able to start writing down the events of at this point, only needing to finish up some characters from the group at minimum) until Ality is moved, delaying Where I Belong until Dusk is moved, and possibly more. And that's a best-case scenario, at worst all of that work and those characters have to be completely scrapped, which would cause even worse delays for Mysteries specifically as I'd need to replace Ality in that case, while causing Where I Belong to be entirely scrapped (as Dusk is the main character of that story). Which is something that would hurt me a LOT.

You aren't helping by not doing anything to keep the RP going at all.

A different way to "Improve" the RP is to use what we learned in the past to improve future plotlines, rather than giving all that hard work a middle finger, throwing it away, and pretending it never happened.

In my opinion, a reset should only be done if there's little to lose on everyone's end. The Autumn Forest will be reset when I have everything ready to revive it, but in its case, the plot was super early in (we hadn't even entered Pinewood Forest yet, and let's see oh that's literally the first dungeon of the entire plot), and I kid you not, all but one of the players (excluding myself) have fully left TCF. Resetting it in this case would just clear out the characters from all the now-gone players (plus my Treecko character who I don't intend to use in version two, at least not at the start), without really affecting anything else.
Resetting in Limbo's case would basically trash tons of hard work and character development, and if it was reset in any way I would most likely permanently leave the roleplay and try desperately to keep Dusk and Ality from being scrapped, which would be possibly hell to do because of where in my timeline this roleplay takes place.

Do you really put that much thought into Limbo of all things? I mean, who are your arcs going to involve but you at this point?

A reset will hurt in the short term but there's no way it wouldn't benefit the long term.

This isn't about my current arcs right now, even if those would similarly have to be moved or scrapped entirely which causes similar problems.
This is about two characters who I put work into, who I would have to move to a different place in my lore (Which could be nearly impossible because of timeline placements), or scrap entirely (which would cause extreme delays in one project I was intending to start working on soon, while completely scrapping another because oh wait its main character DOESN'T :red:ING EXIST ANYMORE). Again, if this is reset, I'm leaving the roleplay for good, as I see no reason to stay somewhere that gave me lore and two characters I'm proud of, and then took it away from me.

A reset isn't the only fix. End of story.

I can’t do much to help rn considering Tom has had no place in limbo for the past 200 pages, Andrew’s arcs I have in store may be pointless, and the only reason I *might* be on at all this week is when I borrow my mom’s phone because of hotel WiFi costing money.

I'm getting tired of trying to be nice, and I'm not making Ilara work overtime on this profile, so I'll be very blunt here.
Then give him a place yourself.

Asserting your character gets you nowhere, exhibit A, rope.

There's something called "Method of execution", and some people choose the wrong form of it, while some choose more carefully.

My only plans involves a narrative rope has rejected time and time again, redemption.

...Honestly, why care that much about what Rope's opinion on your arc idea is? It's your arc idea, not his.

No, I would have wanted to do a redemption arc with Rope, but it’s clear that won’t happen. Other that that, I might have Tom become one of his “endings” which is zenithcode Tom.

I'm getting too ticked to want to continue this argument. I will once again state that the Soulsearch group is always open, and in fact I have set some group sizes that would reasonably be needed for boss battles to be doable. If the group size is too low and RNG gives a boss-locked number, it will be an unwinnable battle, to give people a reason to join.
Don't try to argue with me further, just let me work on a build instead of doing something productive like add Cattail to PvZMod.

huh

Do I have to get involved in all of this arguing in some way?

What, did you really think a depressed 16-year old with no combat experience and a mage, both with damaged souls, were going to beat a supervillain by themselves?
Or was that about the last part? I've been working on a mod that adds plants from PvZ to Terraria, and in the test world I plan to make some builds for no damn reason at all.

Please calm down I don’t like seeing my friends fight

I wasn’t even trying to argue, man :<
Oh well, I suppose it’s inevitable I piss people off.

Ngl I just got confused about the way you worded it mb
