IC Limbo.

*Bright’s eyes dart open. A wide smile appears on his face.*

“Hey Rope, can you make me a lasso, per chance?”

[The rain gets a bit colder.]
[The sun turns into a... (D20:7) (D8:3) Normal First Quarter moon.]

Chis, already in their shell, promptly goes to sleep.

*Without skipping a beat, Rope god fastens a circle of rope and extends a side into a handle, as a lasso for Bright.*
I don't know what you're going to lasso, but this seems cool.

"Perfect." *after breaking another bone, he inserts the pointy ends into the rope and makes a spiked whip*
*Rope god pulls out his very similar rope whip, the spiked tip moving about seemingly on it's own.*
Awfully familiar to me, I just can't put my finger on it...

[The rain turns into a thunderstorm. It's loud. One of the thunderbolts even hits dangerously close to everyone.]
Chis, awoken by the storm, pokes their head out, scared by the loud noises.
What was that!? Who did that!? Did someone do that? ...I don't like this!
Chis re-enters their shell and lightly sobs.

Ha! Finally, something interesting.
Im going to go insult Zeus real quick, be right back.

*The Rope god happily storms off.*

*Bright is completely unfazed by the storm; he "toys" with the lasso, but it is clear that he has skill. Bright murmurs something mostly incomprehensible, but you can make out the general concept:* "This kind of reminds me of when we played with lassos together. Hopefully she's doing alright..."

*Tethin can't help but wonder why Chris is so afraid of the rain and thunder. He stands up and stands next to them. In his best soft voice (still sounds rough, but my boy's trying)*
"Hey little one. Why not come into a tent? Might trick your brain into thinking it's safer, and it'll muffle the noise slightly."

Trust me, it won't help, but thank you.

"... Would you like a hug? It'd be fine if not. I also know a few stories I can tell around the campfire."
*He seems to be emotionless, but his body is tense, as if he's afraid he's making a mistake.*

...Sure.
Chis exits their shell and accepts the hug. Their guard is very clearly up, though, as they appear to be holding a sharpened candy cane, just in case.
Chis appears to trust everyone more.

*Tethin steps forward and gently and rather awkwardly wraps an arm around Chis. He notices the sharpened candy cane but doesn't comment on it. He rubs Chis' shell, hoping it will comfort them slightly.*

Chis doesn't notice, as their shell doesn't feel touch or pain.
Chis lets go of the hug, before putting the sharpened candy cane in their mouth & eating it.

...Thank you.

*Tom mutters to himself* "I think I'm starting to like the underground more. The sky doesn't try to kill you or drench you with water."

*Tethin steps back, and gently pats Chis on the shoulder.* "You're welcome."

"Wait... there's no sky in the underground..." *Tom has managed to confuse himself*

*Tethin steps back, and gently pats Chis on the shoulder.* "You're welcome."
Chis mostly re-enters their shell, but their head and arms are poking out, using a large peppermint as a pillow. They appear to feel safe in their surroundings.

Mirror looks at Tom.
"Where I'm from the underground is probably the safest place. Literally everything but the sky is trying to kill you on the surface there."

*tom turns to mirror* "And I thought the surface would be a safe place. Guess I was wrong."

*tom turns to mirror* "And I thought the surface would be a safe place. Guess I was wrong."
"It used to be safer and then someone decided to mess that up."
"I don't think this place is anywhere near my home though..."

*tom turns to mirror* "And I thought the surface would be a safe place. Guess I was wrong."
"Where I come from, the surface is mostly safe, but not much is known about the underground. According to the 3rd Founding Family's Ancient Texts, there are two layers of the underground. The one closer to the surface is where the 3rd Founding Family's descendants live, and the one closer to the core of the planet is full of demons."
