Melanie likely notices a machine in the distance, also exploring the hallow. It's standing over a dead unicorn, blazing dagger rapidly hacking away at the the thing's head, ripping the horn out with a small chunk of flesh alongside it.

They make eye contact, with the machine leaping into the trees in a single jump, beginning to weave away throughout the canopy, unicorn's horn still in hand. What does it need that for?

Melanie hefts her sword, fingering the trigger.
“…Wonder if that guy has a safe spot nearby…”

She starts running after them, trying to be discrete while avoiding losing track of the shape.

(Good grief; still no response from Cobalt, as far as I’ve heard.)
(Might as well just make up the cave that Melanie’s been searching for soon-ish. Probably after this interaction is seen through.)

{In my opinion, he’s overpowered. I also don’t like adding other people’s characters to RPs.}

{BTW, I think if he only appeared for like three posts in the beginning it’d be fine, but he seems more like a character rather than a plot device. Normally that’s a good thing, but not with him.}
