Right before the spirit reaches Irene, another spirit appears, and it begins to comfort her. The other one slowly sinks into the ground. And as Irene calms, the comforting spirit leaves, right as the other one tries to grab it's leg, but the comforting spirit left by then, so it just retreats back into the ground.
