Switch Local Wireless Multiplayer on Nintendo Switch

I saw a reddit post which was said that there was progress working on local wireless multiplayer and splitscreen on nintendo

Apparently splitscreen has been released and I was wondering if local wireless is also going to be released too

I would love an official response to this situation. 3DS, the first platform I played on, was so convenient to take anywhere and play with friends/family. Switch version should definitely have the same thing, and *not related to Switch Online.*

Sadly tho it seems like Nintendo is kinda getting neglected again lol… definitely not as much enthusiasm…

I know it's been a couple years, is there any recent news about local wireless support on Switch? The last mention of it I can find is when Journey's End launched.
