PC (lost progress) I'm assuming this is a lost cause

I made a master mode world a few years ago in 1.4 but seem to have lost that character and world and any other characters I had.

I had to reinstall windows and basically wipe my entire system recently. I thought terraria saved worlds and characters to the cloud so I don't know if it's possible to find the files because they are gone from my computer.

Terraria only saves worlds or characters you specifically send there on the cloud, via the dedicated button in the UI.
